I bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband a few years ago. He's an avid hunter and he uses this to duck hunt in. He wears it under his waders and only has to turn it on low for a few minutes and then turns it off and because it is so well insulated that it keeps him nice and toasty. He gets too warm if he leaves it turned on for too long. The battery life is great and will last him all day. He keeps a portable battery charger in his pocket in case of emergencies but has never had to use it. It is a good quality and well worth the price. Fit: I am 6’1” 175lbs and purchased a medium. Length is nice, just below belt line and fit is snug. Battery is a little heavy and definitely noticeable. Rides just over left hip. Probably could have better design, maybe small of back or lower front. No drawstring around lower edge so does tend to flare a bit. Function: Heats up immediately. On highest setting it tends to turn off after a couple minutes. It has an overheat shutoff built in. Nice and warm on medium setting. Can sit outside in 40 degree weather and be completely comfortable. Heated collar is especially nice. Heated pockets perfect for hands. Get 2 hrs max on high setting. Build/quality: well-made in general. Seams, zippers and material all strong. Matte black finish is nice. I compare to my Uniqlo jacket and is heavier, more durable. Cons: the logo control button on the left breast stays brightly lit at all times. Slight nerd factor there. Wish I could turn off the backlighting. Broad logo across the back - could do without. Overall: keeps me warm, fits well, would buy again, and would give as a gift to someone who lives in cold clime or enjoys outdoor winter activities ... show more

This was such a great gift that I got for my dad. He uses it when hunting and when traveling to cold places! He also used it during cold soccer games and football games as well as during Mardi Gras when it was freezing! The material is a breathable but warm material. It fit him perfectly and is true to size. It kept him warm, the battery life was great and lasted as described. He also got many compliments on it because of its style and it fit him great! I am posting the image of the temperature settings. Low is at 100 degrees F - just about at normal body temp. Medium at 113 degrees F - one can barely feel the heat. High is very nice and cozy at 131 degrees F. I wanted to see how long the high setting would last. Admittedly I did not go into the cold to test it but we keep our house at 68 degrees F. A fully charged battery lasted me six hours on high. The fit was perfect as I have a 36 inch waste and usually wear a large shirt. My chest is 42 inches. It worked better when I took off my sweater that was initially worn underneath the vest then put the vest back on. Then I put a windbreaker on top of the vest to keep from soiling it and to keep the tags from getting caught in something. They warn you to leave the tag on else it would not be accepted should you return it. I especially liked the warmth around my neck but also appreciated the heat on my shoulder blades. The front pockets were not nearly as warm but they were warm. After awhile the heat is retained and I could have cycled down to the medium setting but I wanted to see how long the high setting would last. It took me less than eight hours to get the full charge indicator lights. I did buy an extra battery to have so when the battery needs recharging (about six hours to recharge) I could then swap out every six hours or so without having to wait in the cold for recharge to complete. The battery did not seem to be too heavy and the weight was not a problem as I didn't notice any drag or discomfort. Overall it was a very comfortable vest and I look forward to using it in my unheated garage or on walks. No complaints! I hope it lasts as I plan to take good care of it. ... show more
