I bought this coat last December. So, here is my 1 year review. It still looks and functions just as well as it did last season. It's light weight and unlike other heated coats, the battery is lighter and unnoticeable after wearing it a few times. Battery weighs in at 6.5oz (my smartphone with case weighs 10.9oz), so it's really not an issue. 3 heat settings makes it convenient for whatever weather you are in. The battery will last me a full shift delivering if I keep it on medium or low. I bought a spare battery as well in case it gets super cold. I really enjoy the neck heat. I've been enjoying this coat for about a year now. It's lightweight, very warm, and has a good battery life. I also haven't seen one feather come out of it like I've noticed with other down jackets. My only complaint, is that the outer layer is very thin. Shortly after getting it there was a small tear but hasn't grown in size. Because of this, I'd be careful what activities you do in it because the jacket is not very durable. As other reviews have stated the jacket definitely has a quite slim fit, plus the armpits and sleeves feel like they are cut and made in a different shape than most jackets. I decided to buy a large, which is my normal size, only to have the jacket be very very form fitting and have a weird pulling feeling when moving my arms due to the weird armpit design. That being said, this jacket is fantastic. It's quite soft on the inside, the heaters are quite warm, and I am a person who normally runs very cold. They are so warm I need to turn them down because I start sweating. 100% recommended if you are looking for something really warm, just order a size up and save yourself the hassle of having to exchange it. ... show more

    • Perfect for the Windy City
After wearing Columbia brand coats for 15 years, I was tired of the cheap zippers that would cost me a coat every 4 or 5 years. I searched for coats for extreme cold and Ororo's heated jacket came up. I am a dog walker in the Chicago area so I NEED a coat that can handle our Winters. I wore it the first time yesterday when it was about 20º outside. I wanted to test it so I just wore a T-shirt under it and used the Medium heat setting. I was so warm! I actually was fine with the LOW setting. I am SO impressed with this coat! It's not bulky so it sure beats wearing several layers of clothes under your coat. I usually felt like the Michelin Man, but this coat is fantastic. The heated collar with the hood up kept my head so toasty. The front tummy heat was great and a bonus if you put your hands in your pockets. Then finally the heat across your back is just awesome. I sure hope it lasts longer than the Columbia coats did. This is a wire problem The only heating elements that work are the collar and if you where to put it on burns your neck on low and one wire down the back gets very hot and burns. this is from the factory It had a wire problem. I got this for my bf and he absolutely loves it! It is the only jacket he wears now. He would always get so cold so I got annoyed and bought him this. Definitely worth it.
