Very pleased with this purchase! Fit: I purchased the Large size jacket and I am 6'4", 210lb. The coat fits great...the sleeves are long enough (often an issue), the shoulders wide enough and the length is just above the knees. The zippers are robust and the ability to have the coat fully zipped up while zipping up from the bottom with a second zipper so that you can sit down comfortably was great. We walked around London and Cologne in January and I never got cold, so this jacket is pretty warm too. The hood is big enough and comes forward far enough when it's up to keep the rain off your face and cover a scarf and hat if need be. Tons of pockets, including an internal one for security. I ordered this coat as a gift to myself for Christmas. It is fantastic. It’s VERY warm and I’m so glad I chose one that has extensive length and goes to about mid-thigh. I can’t say enough good things about the coat so suffice it to say it does everything it’s supposed to do and it does it in style. Now there are somewhat negative points about the coat but they are minor but I’ll still address them. 1. About a month into wearing the coat, the seams of the the inner sleeves at the wrist which hold the cuff in place ripped and the sleeves pull up my arm away from the cuffs when I put on the coat now. This is not a huge deal as I only have to smooth the sleeve back down my arm and everything is right back in place. 2. I’ve always found the zipper on men’s coats to be on the right side of the zip, but on this coat (and a couple of others I’ve bought in the last few years) the part of the zipper which actually moves up and down is on the left side which seems odd at first and took a little getting used to but as I said this ain’t my first rodeo and life is about adaptation. Other than these two points, I love this coat which is not weighty at all but is as warm as a weighty coat. The low profile hood (I forgot how it was described when I bought the coat) is really nice and stays out of the way when I’m not using it but when it snowed this year and when it’s rained a few times, that hood sure came in handy. And if I step out for some fresh air, the hood is handy again to keep my ears warm and cozy even as the cold winds are blowing. I also bought one of these for my mother - a lady of some 80 years of life experience - and she has commented on how she loves her coat on two occasions when I called to see how she was doing. And she NEVER commented on a gift before once she received it. She asked me where I got it as she wanted to get one for each of my siblings. So yeah, if you want total perfection , you may be disappointed in this coat. When I heard the tear of those sleeve seams I sure had a moment where I was concerned - but fortunately, it was the coat and not my pants that ripped and it was only the sleeves and the thing is still perfectly wearable and serves its purpose with nobody ever seeing a tear. So for spending $100 for a nice coat that I can wear to work or church or just put to have a walk in the country, I’d say I got a good deal and when you get a good deal, you just can’t complain. I wear a Large shirt size, so I ordered a Medium - it fit perfectly. The sizing suggestions are correct. Coat is very comfortable and sufficiently warm for my midwestern USA winters. The main zipper is backward to American standards, but because it zips easily and effortlessly slides into the slot, I have experienced minimal discomfort with the Asian design. (I guess we'll all have to eventually convert, as we don't make anything in North America any more). I wish it had a detachable hood and fewer zippers. Perfect, keeps me warm, large zippered pockets. It was 35 degrees Fahrenheit at mountains and jacket kept me warm. Love the style and you can unzipper the bottom so it is easy to sit in your car.

I had never heard of the Orolay brand before, but I saw this item in one of those online short feature articles about items that are "must-haves" or on sale somewhere. That led me to a little browsing on Amazon's site and to this item. I've had all kinds of coats like this -- LL Bean, North Face, Coleman, Wellenstein, etc., and paid much more for most of them, and every one of them had some little flaw or feature I didn't like. But this Orolay may be my favorite ever. Perfect weight, ample length, perfect number and position of pockets, nice-fitting hood, quality zippers with color flags for nighttime location, and a gorgeous subtle blue color. ... show more

    • I LIKE THE COAT...But WHY is the Zipper BassAckWards??

The GOOD WARM Great seal around wrists Length is nice and long Pockets zipper seal with good depth Functional hood THE DISAPPOINTING The zipper is not big & robust AND the zipper is the wrong way around for a guy... The zipper is only a one head IE you cannot unzip the bottom to allow more room/ flex when sitting/ walking while the rest is zipped. The side zips to allow for more leg flex only release about 1.5 to 2 inches on each side...WTF is with that? I am getting used to the "Girly" zipper but after 76 plus years of " correct" zippers this plastic whimpy panzy assed zipper on the coat still bugs me no end... ... show more

I bought this jacket cause my current jacket wasn't doing good job keeping me warm at work, since it get cold as 30F. I wore it the first day at work I didn't feel cold at all at work and I didn't need to wear a sweater underneath the jacket to keep me warm. It's quite expensive, but buy once cry once and I want jacket that has duck feather cause I heard it does good job keeping people warm.
