Features

  • CAVITY BACK DESIGN - You play cavity back irons, why not cavity back wedges? Easier to hit than blade style wedges geared for scratch golfers, Fat Sole wedges are designed for beginner and intermediate golfers to complement their game improvement irons.
  • EXTRA WIDE SOLE - One of the widest soles on the market! The unique design helps to prevent digging and clogging. The Fat Sole design reduces the likelihood of fat or chunked shots.
  • LARGE HITTING SURFACE to instill confidence at address, in a deep sand trap or in the thick grass in the rough.
  • LOW CENTER OF GRAVITY - Allows you to get the ball out from practically any lie. These higher lofted wedges are ideal for players who struggle especially with bunker shots and tight lies. No need to open the face, position the face square and swing away.
  • HIGHER LOFT OPTIONS These precision cast stainless steel golf club wedges are available in 60- and 64-degrees lofts in right hand.

  • great
Style Name: 60 Degree
I purchased this club because the course I often play does not have decent sand in the traps, more like fine gravel. This worked well for that purpose. Recently I thought I would play a few times using it for chipping also, to my surprise it worked very well. What I usually do is pitch and run with an 8-9-wedge, by doing so I have to judge the distance as well as the roll. What I have found with the Orlimar I only have to judge the distance because whatever the distance I need the ball will bounce once or twice and stop dead. I played three rounds using it and overall really improved my chipping. The down side is you need the nerve to hit right to the pin, scary, when I have played the pitch and run for many years. Good buy for me. ... show more

  • Not a cure all, but better than most wedges
Style Name: 60 Degree
This wedge does what it is advertised to do. It reduces the chance of chunking shots from tight lies or leaving the ball in bunkers. But, it isn't a miracle club. You won't hit perfect shots all the time. The great thing about this club is that I don't manipulate it at all. I set up to it the same as I do with all of my other irons in the bag. The wide some allows the club to glide on the turf on tight lies and not dig on sand bunker shots. I don't ope the face at all. I square the club and just swing. Getting out of the bunker requires you to swing a three quarter o full swing. I made the mistake thinking that I could take a half shot because I was afraid to take a full swing with a square club face. Don't be afraid. Swing your full swing with the club face square and the ball will come out like it would if you opened up a traditional blade wedge. Same with chips. Set up square and swing through. I thought the feel of the club was going to be clunky , but it actually feels and sounds ok. This wedge is hot too. Normally I hit a 60 degree about 75 yards. I can hit this wedge about 90 yards. For the price it's a great wedge if you are looking for something more forgiving, easier to hit from bunkers and tight lies, and provides consistency within your setup. ... show more

  • Works good

Did not notice much difference than my normal 60 degree wedge but then I am a novice golfer.

  • It Works
Style Name: 60 Degree
I've only had this wedge for a couple of days and I took it to the club and practiced with it. I tried swinging kind of easy to see what would happen and I found that I bladed more shots swinging easy then if I took a full swing at it. If you take a full swing and set it up in the middle of your stance like a normal iron shot you can't miss. It pops the ball straight up goes about 20 to 30 yards and comes down softly. The key is to take a full swing and just understand how far it'll go for you with that full swing. Hard to beat for $39. Here is a follow up after using it on the course thru several rounds. As I said you can't baby or try to get fancy with this wedge. You have to take a full swing and by that I mean full swing and how hard you want and far you want to hit it. Great for those shot's over a bunker to the green with that full but medium speed swing and the harder you hit it the higher it goes. Have had several playing partners use it during their rounds and all 3 ordered the club and love it. Best $39.00 I have ever spent on golf. PERIOD!!! ... show more

  • It works for white fluffy sand
Style Name: 60 Degree
I bought this club because I was having trouble getting out of bunkers with lots of white fluffy sand. After a couple practice attempts with the club face square, I was not totally impressed. Then I opened it up a little and it slid through the sand effortlessly. I played nine holes with it in the bag and ended up in the sand 4 or 5 times. I was able to get out on the first swing every time. ... show more

  • Game changer
Style Name: 60 Degree
Been playing 30 years. My ego would never allow me to buy a club like this. Shoot consistently in the mid 80’s and this club has helped knock a few strokes off of that. I would never have believed it would be as easy to hit as it is. Stops a lot of my fat and skulled chips. If you can get your ego in check give it a try. You won’t regret it. Of course I wish I’d known in my 20’s instead of in my 50’s but you live and learn as they say. ... show more

  • A gimmick club
Style Name: 60 Degree
This is more of a gimmick club/wedge. They used to sell "The Alien" which is just a different version of a fat soled wedge. I returned it, it takes a lot of getting used to and you have to drag the club through the ball to make sure you hit it squarely, so a miss hit is usually topping the ball.
