I've been using this protein powder for a year and a half, and have always felt fairly good about the fact that it only had 1g of sugar and was one of the cleaner protein powders. I get this product through subscribe and save, and this month I noticed new packaging, so I checked for any changes in the actual powder. Unfortunately, the word "clean" was added to the container, but there's now 2g of sugar and zero potassium. And worse---what REALLY bothers me is what they've *REMOVED* from their description: -Non GMO -No antibiotics -No artificial flavors -No artificial colors So, in essence, they added the word "CLEAN" to their packaging, but made it less clean than before. I'm not sure that I'll continue using this protein powder now. It's a shame because it was one of the better tasting protein powders out there that didn't cost $60. ... show more

First of I want to say I've been taking protein powder for over 7 years. It took me the first 2-3 years to land on a great tasting protein that didn't have (too much) junk in it and I've had it ever since. HOWEVER, once I joined the Paleo community and realized the importance of grass fed dairy over regular dairy I had to look for an alternative. I must have gotten lucky because this is the first grass fed whey I tried and I it was love at first taste. You can taste AND smell the cocoa in it. It literally tastes like a chocolate milk Unlike many other whey proteins this one tastes great with water or with milk; it mixes easily and it doesn't have any strange after taste. Also I'm impressed with the fact that they pulled this off without any soy lecithin. In fact it has no soy at all! As a last point I'd like to say that the cost per serving is very wel priced. Almost the same as the Dymatize I used to take befoee. This is my new go to protein! THANK YOU! ... show more

A friend recommended this protein powder, so I thought I'd give it a try. I've had many protein powders in my day, and this one is honestly one of my least favorites. I gave it 2 stars due to it being grass-fed whey, and mostly organic, but that's about the only thing positive. -The taste is BAD. Vanilla taste more like a coffee/butterscotch (NOT in a good way). - It does not mix well and it has LOTS of foam. - It isn't very high quality protein, it is from concentrate rather than isolate or regular whey. - Pretty high in carbs, 12 per serving. Not to mention it takes 2 scoops of this protein to have 21 grams of protein, whereas most others it only take 1 scoop to get 19-25 grams of protein. I would not recommend this protein powder. Excellent quality. Used in hospitals. Doesn't have all the hidden crap in it that many shake powders contain. It will definitely get your GI tract moving too - which is great. I have it after my workout every day and mix with all sorts of good stuff - start with water and real coconut milk (the kind that comes in the cans - not the kind sold in the milk department - thats not real coconut milk), cacao powder, super greens, MCT oil and/or coconut oil, collagen, bee pollen, ashwaghanda powder, flax seed, milk thistle seed, a little almond butter, matcha powder - POWER DRINK!! ... show more

I LOVE this flavor! I've been loyal to Orgain for the last 4 years or so. I've always drank their pea protein, but for many reasons decided to switch over to whey protein. I hated the flavor of my fiance's Jay Robb vanilla protein... I know it's super natural and super expensive but I just couldn't keep choking it down so I sought out a different whey and this is so delicious! What I love about this even more than the pea protein, is that even with just a little ice and water it's still JUST as creamy as if you had added milk. I typically like my shakes better with coconut/almond milk, but I'm amazed at how flavorful and creamy it is even with just water. ... show more

I've been using beachbody's shakeology for about 2 years now and have been looking for a more effective alternative. This product does the trick. The taste is great, a little different than the chocolate shakeology. There's not as many vitamins in this product as there is in shakeology however the protein is relatively close and the sugars are less. And the cost is a fraction of BB. It is so difficult to find an organic protein that is made from whey. I've used many different proteins through the years and this one is by far the best. The flavor is good and it dissolves quite well in water. I was ordering the vegan Orgain and this one tastes better. Less "fake-sweet" aftertaste. My toddler begs for smoothies daily and we use a scoop to add some much missing protein in her diet. She loves it! And I don't find that it upsets my stomach like many other proteins. First off, five star quality for the taste and quality of Orgain Whey. Great taste and fantastic product. However, low star rating for the uncharacteristically suspicious business practice of price gouging for the pricing of the Vanilla vs Chocolate. Why is the Vanilla flavored powder priced almost $10.00 higher than the equivalent size container of the chocolate flavor??? Now, if you look at the pricing of the package for the pre-made Orgain shakes sold in cartons, the chocolate is priced substantially higher than the vanilla!! ... show more
