Coffee is pretty amazing, don't get me wrong. But Amino Energy replaced my morning coffee routine about 3 years ago and I've never looked back. It's an excellent morning pick-me-up for both workdays and weekends. And because it's a powder, you can easily fine-tune how much caffeine you're looking for on any given day. I'd never recommend taking as much as the label recommends though, anything more than 2~2.5 scoops gives me caffeine jitters. Start slow and figure out your ideal serving size through trial and error. It's also an excellent pre-workout before the gym. Definitely helps pumping iron, and I clearly feel better lifting weights on the days when I remembered to bring some versus the days I've forgotten my energy boost. The lemon-lime is delicious (like a non-fizzy 7-Up) and doesn't leave any unpleasant after-tastes to worry about. Another benefit of Amino Energy over coffee is that it's better cold. This is particularly helpful in the summer, when a cold beverage is much more refreshing than a hot coffee before braving out into the heat. ... show more

This product is very acidic on the stomach and way too sweet. It tastes like a Jolly Rancher. Over time the acidity worsened. I attempted getting ingredient details from the company and they refused. I am now trying Legion Pulse and it is much cleaner and easier on the acid. All ingredients are also listed out without being hidden in some “proprietary” blend. ... show more

This is an honest and true review of this item, which I purchased full price on Amazon.com: I have been using Amino energy for over a year now and I'm not looking to change. It has been a complete lifesaver for working graveyards. I have plenty of energy throughout the night with no crash and when I get home, I can fall asleep easily.     • Great for fasted workouts!

I have been using this product for a couple years during my fasted workouts & it definately helps me get through them without feeling tired/depleated (especially spinning!) I have a very high caffeine tolerance, so I take a preworkout (pescience alphamine or prolific) about 30 min before I start. Then I use 2-3 scoops of amino energy mixed with 32oz of ice water in my shaker bottle to sip on during my workout. I alternate sipping this and plain water to make it last for my 60 min workout. I really liked this peach lemonade flavor....it’s a little sour, which is what I like! I also really like all of the cafe’ series flavors, and I will drink it in place of iced coffee as an afternoon treat/pick me up! When I do that, I like to use half unsweetened almond/cashew/coconut milk & half water, and then 2T sugar free vanilla or caramel creamer.....SOOOOO GOOD!! I usually do 3-4 scoops and make it 44oz. Other flavors I’ve had and really liked are grape, blueberry mojito, orange (add 1T of sugar free vanilla creamer to take like creamsicle👌🏼), cotton candy, watermelon (not my fave, wish it was more sour), and strawberry lime which had high reviews, but I did’t really care for. I wish they’d come up with more sour flavors, like a sour watermelon & strawberry. Some other flavors I’d like to see would be Banana cream, lime Ricky, cantaloupe, and something to taste like a pink starburst! The reason I’m not giving 5 stars is for the deceiving bottle that’s only 1/3 full, and that you need at least 3 scoops at a time so you run out really fast. I’m going to try green apple next. so I will give a review on it after as well☺️ ... show more

When I saw Cotton Candy flavored, it took me about 2 1/2 seconds to put this in my cart. I frequent the Watermelon flavor a lot but thought it was a good time to try something new, and I happen to LOVE cotton candy flavored stuff. This cotton candy has a flavor though... and its def in the blue raspberry family which happens to be one of my least favorite flavors. That being said, even my hatred for blue raspberry anything is not enough to sway me away from the product. I'll finish it for sure, and try again with a new flavor next time! As far as the product how its intended to be used (not just flavor profile), Optimum Nutrition was my first brand of BCAA's that I tried.... I'm pretty new to all this so I'm more or less in a mode of "Is this drink doing what I want its supposed to?". Since my first BCAA purchase, I have tried a few other brands, but if we are talking about how my muscles feel after a tough workout, I've liked Optimum Nutrition the best. Plus it turns out these guys are local to me... holla from the other side of I-80! ***** EDIT ******* The flavor really grew on me. I'll be ordering this one again after all ... show more

I didn't Want to write a review until I tried the Product being that this is my 1st time... I'm Extremely into Fitness and sometimes I need new Products to try after taking the same ones for so long... I normally don't follow the instructions on new products... I always try alot less than recommended do to the products possibly being to strong... I'm glad I did on this products... I filled 1 whole packet with 16oz Bottle Water... I drank 2 full sips about 30 minutes before Workout and Glad I did less than recommended... those 2 sipps had me Reaching a Goal on the Treadmill I hadn't reached in a long time ... I really like this Product its mild on energy but gives you what you need... It also decreased my Appetite which I like also... I hope this helps Anyone wanting to try this Product!! ... show more

I’ve been sick for a couple weeks now and have been battling fatigue. I don’t wanna get out of bed, let alone work out. I was looking into preworkout, which I have never tried, and was worried because I’m sensitive to caffeine. Found this little travel pack and decided to give it a try since it has green tea. All I can say is WOW. I only used half a packet in 8 oz of water and I had a burst of energy for a solid 2 hours. I was able to plow through an great workout that I normally struggle with. I can’t wait to see how I feel tomorrow. I will be purchasing the big container after I finish these packs. ... show more
