  • Solid battery

  • Go to battery
This is and has always been my go to choice of car battery. I have full trust that when that key turns, my car is going to sing to life. They have never left me stranded. The one thing I do dislike is when they do go dead, the go DEAD. There is no recharging, there is no repairing, no fancy charger is going to bring it back That battery is kaput. It's a good thing it always get years of use out of it. Well worth the money. ... show more

  • Fit's a 2010 Dodge Journey 2.4l
Works Great. It is alittle more CCA's for my car but works just fine. I will update in a few months when I know how it handles my daily 3 mile, unmaintained dirt road drive.

  • DO NOT BUY OPTIMA BATTERIES
Unfortunately I didn’t have a good experience purchasing this “premium” battery and therefore would strongly recommend against purchasing this specific battery or supporting the Optima brand in any capacity. I purchased this battery on June 06, 2020 (Shipped June 09, 2020) and right at the 3 year, 2 week mark it complete failed (unable to take any charge). That is significant because the battery has a 3 year manufacturers warranty. My vehicle is completely stock so no additional electronics drawing on the battery. Whenever the vehicle wasn’t in use for a period of time I used a 1 amp Smart charger which differentiated between standard, AGM and Lithium batteries. I did my part to properly maintain the battery. On June 19th, 2023 my vehicle wouldn’t start. I used the previously mentioned smart charger to trickle charge the battery for the day but to no avail. I removed the battery the following day and took it to a local auto parts retailer where they tested the battery and determined that it wouldn’t take a charge at all. In the following days I went back and forth between Amazon and Optima to determine how to submit a warranty claim. I must admit Optima had a very nice and professional customer service person handle my claim. She tried to put it through even though I was a few weeks past the 3 year warranty but unfortunately the claim was denied. I understand a 3 year warranty is a 3 year warranty but I was hoping Optima would go the extra mile and do the right thing. As a comparison, the Panasonic battery that was in the vehicle lasted over 10 years. Based on this experience I’d strongly recommend against purchasing Optima batteries. I’ve had good luck with Interstate and Deka batteries and will be going back to them. ... show more

  • high quality battery. have had this brand and style of battery in my truck for 13+. years.
the longevity of this battery in my other vehicle convinced me to purchase the same type of battery for my vehicle. when my prior battery went dead, i looked at the date on the battery and it only lasted 4 years. just enough time for the warranty to expire. i don't want to spend $200+ dollars every 4 years for a battery. ... show more

  • Long life batteries and any position mount
When delivered I picked it up exactly the way it was delivered and set it in a safe place till I could get to it. A couple of days later I opened the box to find it was delivered upside down. No worries with these batteries as they can be mounted in any position. Replaced the old optima battery that was 9 years old with it and put the charger on it to top it off, good to go. Best batteries we have ever used. 8 years is the least we've ever gotten out of all we've ever purchased. DEPENDABLE!!! No fuss for min. 8 years for us. Yep happy!! ... show more

  • Not Fully Charged
These are nice batteries but make sure you put a charger on them before putting in your car. They may arrive not fully charged.

  • Still working after 3.5 years in the Mojave dessert heat
Since I moved from the coast to the desert I have had pretty bad luck with my car batteries. On the coast I usually got at least 5 years sometimes longer. Here in the desert I have been lucky to get 2 years. So this battery has already lasted longer then all the other batteries that I have had here in the desert. So now the test is how long will it last beyond 3.5 years. If it can last 5 years than it is definitely worth the price. Will come back and let you know. I also love the no maintenance and now spill part. ... show more
