I really liked this rug at first - I bought it to go under my desk - but it's made of the strangest fibers I've ever seen in a rug. It is very soft, as other reviews say. But it grabs on like crazy to anything you drop on it - cookie crumbs, tiny bits of paper, ANYTHING - the fibers in the rug just attach to whatever falls on it and you literally have to pick them out of the rug one at a time. I've tried vacuuming it, shaking it outdoors, lightly scrubbing it with a damp towel - it's just something about the way it's made. I'm not particularly untidy, but after a couple of months it's got quite a bit of wear/fiber twisting where my feet rest, and it's also a huge crumb magnet. I'll definitely be buying something different when I decide to replace it (which will be pretty soon.) ... show more

The pad on this is really comfortable and the fibers themselves create a SUPER SOFT texture to sit on. However, as expected with the price, the density is pretty thin on this carpet. If you run your hand back through the fibers you can see directly into the surface of the pad. When vacuuming it (Dyson stand-up hypoallergenic ball roller model), the fibers seem to get pretty strained and the vacuum itself doesn't seem to be getting up small things that have worked down into the fibers. I've found that using the vacuum on a suck-only function (rather than the rolling brush function) works best for this and puts the rug under less stress. Tl;dr - Great and soft for the price. This rug is so soft I wish I could get a blanket made out of it! I love walking on it barefoot (and the cat likes it too) I've been using for almost a week, there is no shedding at all. Ignore the mess I have 2 children. But we are currently remodeling and we tore up all the tile so there's this really ugly painted wood right now, and I wanted something I could walk on comfortably without shoes and something u could put my 3 month Olds play gym on. And this is perfect for that. It's pretty thin but doesn't slip on the wood floor. Idk about slick floors it probably would slide around so when we re do the floor I'll be moving it to my bedroom to put beside my bed. It's very very soft and feels great to walk on and sit on. It comes vacuum sealed so there's a odor when first opening it but it went away within 20 minutes. For something I bought to be temporary it was definitely worth it. ... show more
