Features

  • NEW PACKAGING, SAME GREAT FLAVOR: Weve changed our look and slightly adjusted our package size, but not our ingredients! Your dog can still enjoy every nutritious bite, now with a cleaner, more refined look.
  • FARM-RAISED POULTRY: Our senior recipe is made with prime cuts of real turkey and chicken from high-welfare American farms without the use of additives and is 100% Certified Humane so you can feel good about the food in your dogs bowl.
  • WELLNESS FOR SEASONED DOGS: Open Farm Senior Dry Dog Food's science-based formula uses meaty protein for maintaining muscle, probiotic fiber for digestion, and added glucosamine and chondroitin to strengthen the joints of your long-standing friend.
  • FROM FARM TO BOWL: Dogs crave the taste of meat by wild natural instinct, so our recipe makes it the first ingredient. We skip the grain, corn, wheat, and soy in favor of smart superfoods like pumpkin, carrot, and coconut oil for whole diet balance.
  • 100% TRANSPARENCY: As a part of our commitment to transparent sourcing practices, we provide owners with the ability to trace the origin of every ingredient using the lot number on the bag, because where pet foods come from shouldnt be a mystery.

  • Great product
Flavor Name: Pasture Raised Lamb Size: 22 Pound (Pack of 1)
This product is wonderful my dogs love it I’ve always given them royal canin as puppies and then purina as adults then I switch to this brand and I swear my dogs look healthier and younger every day it amazes me how beautiful their coats are. I love this product and my dogs also loves it. I also switch up the flavors but so far lamb is the best from their reaction. ... show more

  • My dog loves this kibble!
Flavor Name: Wild-Caught Salmon Size: 11 Pound (Pack of 1)
The reason I purchased Open Farm Salmon kibble is because of limited ingredients, the various proteins available, and the process used to cook it. While my dog absolutely devours this kibble (so the flavor MUST be good) and his fur is silky, but he still has itching and dandruff. So, I am going to temporarily feed him homemade vet approved recipes until I can zero in on what he's having a reaction to. I like mixing homemade with kibble because the crunchy bits are good for his teeth, and my boi loves to crunch. Open Farm will be my go to brand if I buy kibble again, but we just have to isolate more carefully for now to get rid of his dandruff and itching. I did a ton of online researching before buying, so I can highly recommend this brand. ... show more

  • my dachshund loves it
Flavor Name: Small Breed Size: 11 Pound (Pack of 1)
My almost three year old Takoda loves this food! All the better, it didn’t upset his little tummy when I switched to it. It’s affordable and seems to be doing well for him!

  • My pup loves it.
Flavor Name: Wild-Caught Salmon Size: 4 Pound (Pack of 1)
My dog is a sucker for salmon! I must warn you, though, her breath smells like fish!

  • Our Golden Retriever loves it
Flavor Name: Wild-Caught Salmon Size: 4 Pound (Pack of 1)
We use this as a topper for regular dry dog food. Supposed to be healthier with better ingredients than the filler starches in typical Science Diet food, our dog loves the addition and gobbles it up. It's just too expensive to feed only this.

  • Made My Dogs Sick
Flavor Name: Pasture Raised Lamb Size: 22 Pound (Pack of 1)
This brand made my dogs sick to the point they were pooping and vomiting all over the house for two weeks. It honestly took me time to figure out why they suddenly were doing this since I eased over to it after switching brands. I always slowly add a new food (like I did with open farm) to their older kibble when I switch over. Once they were fully switched over that's when things took a turn. I also realized that they just were not even eating it that much at a point (I also give them wet food) and they were only relying on their wet food. When I went to the pet store to research other brands, the store staff and I discussed and they noted that while it can be a good brand it might have been too "heavy" for my dogs (i.e. I guess protein rich). We got them now on Nutrisource and literally it was like a light switch turned on. No more pooping in the house, no more vomiting, and they are scarfing down their kibble. I also contacted Open Farm to try to return another bag I did not buy from Amazon and their customer service was awful. Ended up donating that to the animal shelter here. Not impressed. ... show more

  • Amazing Food!
Flavor Name: Grass-Fed Beef Size: 11 Pound (Pack of 1)
My dog is incredibly picky and is now devouring this food. His energy level has changed and he’s actually enjoying his meals. We also use the stew made by this company as a topper to the kibble. Also, he no longer needs his anal glands expressed which is a huge bonus that I wasn’t expecting. We were using very high quality dog food prior to this brand and there is no comparison. Great food. Great company. ... show more

  • Chicken flavor smells like fish, gave my dog gas
Flavor Name: Senior Recipe Size: 22 Pound (Pack of 1)
If you don’t want a dog kibble that reeks like fish, avoid open farms’ chicken & Turkey flavor. I’m sure the quality of the food is good; however, my dog, who never gets gas, has had gas for the past two months on this product. This was after a slow transition and he has a stomach like steel so it’s not from the transition. Something in it just gives him gas and the worst fish breath from the fish smelling kibbles. I realize that fish and omega-3’s are good for dogs, and seem to be in all the healthier, high-end dog foods; however, I want one that doesn’t smell like fish. (That’s why I don’t order a fish flavored one!) Also note that this kibbles are SMALL, like smaller than bunny poop pellets. (Sorry for the comparison but size comparison is accurate.) Maybe they’re smaller because it’s a senior version (to make them easier to ear for older dogs)? My dog is 70 pounds and is used to regular sized kibbles and the size looked like kibbles for a mini breed. Will be trying Farmina next and hoping for better luck. ... show more
