  • High quality human grade dog food!
Flavor Name: Grass-Fed Beef Size: 4 Pound (Pack of 1)
I have a dog who is incredibly picky with sensitive stomach. I have done a ton of research on high quality human grade dog food (both kibbles and wet foods), and I’ve come a cross the Open Farm and Honest Kitchen brands. Ingredients are great for dog! It doesn’t contain any chemicals or unnecessary ingredients that could potentially harm the dog’s health. Open Farm offers so many different flavors. My dog seems to really like the grass-fed beef one the most. It smells amazing upon opening the package. The size of the kibbles are small, which is easier for my dog to swallow and digest! My chow chow’s thick coat appears to be healthier, soft, and shiny. He’s in a healthy weight range. However, it is on the expensive side, but it’s definitely worth it. He doesn’t throw up on this food - no stomach issues. His stools are soft but not watery. I’ll keep purchasing Open Farm products! Totally satisfied. ... show more

  • Great
Flavor Name: Wild Salmon Ancient Grain Size: 4 Pound (Pack of 1)
My dog seems to like this brand! No problem with the food, like diarrhea and don’t have issues with her stomach. I mix this with some homemade dog food. I like that it’s ancient grains and don’t have potatoes and rice in their product. It’s easy for her eat because of small bite size pieces. I have been buying this for some time now. ... show more

  • Great food
Flavor Name: Catch-of-the-Season Whitefish Anci... Size: 11 Pound (Pack of 1)
My dog loves this food. It has improved his skin and coat after only 4 weeks. Kibble size is small.

  • Happy Westie
Flavor Name: Grass-Fed Beef Size: 4 Pound (Pack of 1)
My Westie is a picky eater. I put warm water over this and she snarfs it down! It is a healthy food and she now sits in the kitchen doorway and stares at her bowl when it’s time to eat and sooner.

  • Wholesome Nutrition for Discerning Pups
Flavor Name: Pasture Raised Lamb Ancient Grain Size: 4 Pound (Pack of 1)
Open Farm Ancient Grains Dry Dog Food in the Pasture Raised Lamb Ancient Grain variant has become a staple in my dog's diet, albeit with a touch of selectivity. While the overall experience is positive, my picky dog's occasional enthusiasm nudges this review to a solid 4 out of 5 stars. The humanely raised meat recipe and inclusion of wholesome grains align with my preference for providing nutritious meals for my furry friend. The absence of artificial flavors or preservatives is a definite plus, ensuring a natural and healthy dining experience. My picky dog, however, doesn't consistently share my enthusiasm. While she occasionally enjoys this food, it doesn't evoke the same level of excitement as some other options. This might be attributed to individual taste preferences, as pets, much like humans, can be quite discerning. The small pellet size is a practical feature, especially for smaller breeds. It makes chewing and digestion easier, catering specifically to the needs of small dogs. The 4-pound size is convenient for storage and ensures freshness with each serving. In conclusion, Open Farm Ancient Grains Dry Dog Food offers a commendable balance of nutrition and convenience. While my picky dog doesn't consistently show unbridled enthusiasm, the positive aspects of this dog food outweigh the occasional indifference. A 4-star rating is reflective of its overall quality, with the potential for a higher rating if my dog's taste buds align more consistently. It's a worthwhile option for those seeking a nutritious and appropriately sized meal for their small canine companions. ... show more

  • Picky Eater Approved
Flavor Name: Small Breed Size: 4 Pound (Pack of 1)
I’ve tried a few different brands and switched to this one because of the price for the quality product. Plus my picky Dachshund loves this food more than any other one offered to him so far. He doesn’t really like kibble (prefers wet food), but he enjoys this Open Farm for small breed. This is an affordable option with good ingredients and nutritional value. Definitely recommend. ... show more

  • Gives my puppy diarrhea
Flavor Name: Puppy Ancient Grain Size: 4 Pound (Pack of 1)
I did a ton of research before purchasing this brand and was excited to have our puppy eat what I thought was quality food. We had been feeding our puppy Hills Science Diet for puppies and started mixing Hills with Open Farm once we bought Open Farm to transition her to the new food. Once she was fully transitioned and eating only Open Farm, our puppy started having loose watery stools. It went away for a couple of days and came back. A stool sample showed she had Giardia, an intestinal parasite. She went on medication that cleared the parasites up after a week. However, a few days after she finished her meds she had loose watery stools again for about a week. We stopped feeding her Open Farm and gave her just pumpkin, plain chicken, and broth and her loose stools immediately stopped. We put her back on Open Farm and her stools immediately became soft and mushy. She went back on a pumpkin, chicken, and broth diet and her stools were normal. Based on these events our conclusion is that Open Farm is causing our pup to have loose watery mushy stool. After reading a bunch of recent reviews for this brand, it seems many dogs are experiencing the exact same symptoms, some even also vomiting. Amazon/Open Farm needs to investigate what is causing this. ... show more

  • My Dog Will Not Eat It but they have Great Customer Service
Flavor Name: Wild Salmon Ancient Grain Size: 22 Pound (Pack of 1)
This was my choice for my dog's first adult food. She's a year and a couple of months old, and we're coming off Purina One Puppy Chow, which the vet recommended. As it was time to switch from puppy to adult, I looked online and found the Open Farm brand. It's expensive, but if it was good for my dog, I'd pay it. I don't know if its the Salmon flavor. Maybe I should have tried the chicken, but my dog turns her nose up at this food. She won't eat it. I've got this nearly full bag of expensive food, and I've got to find something else for her to eat. EDIT & Update: I was contacted by Open Farm, and they offered me a full refund! Who does that? I thought that great customer service, and I think I'll try their Chicken flavor. I changed the number of stars for this review because the company deserves that. They're very interested in keeping the customer happy. ... show more
