Was looking for a speaker to pair with my recent laptop purchase that only puts out low-volume via its' own speakers, and this fits the bill. Considered a number of other options, but didn't like the lights, nor no-name aspect of the ones under $20, even with the good reviews. Chose the OontZ Ultra since I liked the original OontZ Angle purchased years ago. This is a solid build, great design, and puts out a nice blend of frequencies in non-distorted sound. When I got it, it was semi-charged, and was fully charged within an hour, even though I was playing songs from my laptop. Very satisfying bass when within 5-10 feet. Crisp high-frequency production, and very good mid-range sounds. Listened to a number of 1970s songs over 2 hours and was very happy of the sound quality. No need to crank up the volume control to 100%, the sound for 1970's rock was perfect at about 67-70% for my setup. I chose this over the Angle3 in part due the usb-c charger connection. Price was maybe $5 more, and I think the bass is a bit fuller. I do think the Angle3 is a great option, as it does put out bright mid-range sound. Bluetooth connection was flawless and quick. As with the original Angle, OontZ/Cambridge Soundworks puts out a very high-quality and solid build. At the Prime-Day sale price, this was great value for money! ... show more

I'm always skeptical about smaller bluetooth speakers, but this one has surprised me. It's very loud and in such a small package. Pairing with my phone was a breeze and when calls come in, it seamlessly switches over to the call, then after the call, it quickly switches back to music. I've also found that the sound carries better than some other speakers I've had. I haven't tried hooking up two to get surround sound, but that should be in the near future. ... show more

For a 25 dollar (or 50 normally) speaker, this thing is a little beast. I use it for white noise while I sleep, and on a single charge I get about 3 nights about it - that's essentially 24 hours of play-time in 8 hour (or more) blocks. If you save it in your paired devices it'll connect instantly when you turn it on. You can place it on end or at the horizontal angled position shown in the product image. The sound is perfectly fine considering its price and size. Unless you're a massive stickler for audio quality, it really should not be a big deal. This is the best speaker you can get at this price point. Hi Fidelity, exceptional high frequency response, and pretty amazing bass and low mids for such a small unit. I've bought six of these. Great for gifting, and great for replacing your tiny laptop speakers. Try one. The Cambridge Soundworks Oontz Angle is also a very good speaker and is a bit less money.
