This is a must have for the Karu 12. Instructions say you should use it with the chimney on and no door. However, after trial and error, I discovered that yes, the chimney on but also use the door while heating the oven. This way will drasticly reduce the heating time in half(about 15 minutes) and u can reach an amazing 400 celcius in no time. When put the pizza in, I also use the door. The flame will not exhaust as long as the chimney is on!! Amazing and faster results. Very happy with the Karu 12 and this burner. You must decrease the flame when making the pizza or it will burnt. ... show more

    • Yes YOU can install this on a Fyra 12, if you are somewhat handy.
This gas insert makes it fun to do pizzas on the Fyra 12 by eliminating the aggravations with the managing wood pellet fuel. You need (2) self-tapping sheet metal screws, drill, screwdriver, and some common sense. EweToob has a few videos how to do this if you need guidance. You can do it! Take note of the gas hose. If it has kinks in it because of packaging, use a soft jaw pliers to mash out the kinks. Easy to do. ... show more

Purchased from a recommendation on a bighorn Facebook group. It fits the bighorn pizza oven with little to no modifications. Only thing I may change is a gasket material between the burner and the oven. During testing I’m able to get 850-900 in about 20-25 mins, lowest setting 420 deg +/-, medium setting 750 degrees +/-. So glad to spend more time tending to pizzas than pellets. ... show more

Slides right up into the Big Horn pizza oven to convert it to gas. Takes it less time and more contol than the pellets. Gets very hot, 900°+F. Easy to light with the built in ignition.
