We give him 4 of these (that’s what they recommended for his size) about 30 min before a storm is coming and he is calm. They don’t make him freak out and he takes them easy - so they must be good. Used previously from Petsmart. My 4 yo dog doesn’t like it but will take it for travel, vet appointments - they compliment her for being so good. I Think she’s smart & knows exactly what it is & when she needs it. My 8 mo old puppy eats it right out of my hand & helps with her anxiety when crated in mornings. Works better than a powder & easy to give or break into 1/2 or even less. Kicks in fairly quick 30 minutes to hour I don’t notice then I realize the calm. I started with small amount much less than dose on package & monitored & increased as needed until I saw what dose works best for my girls depending on their needs/ the situation from taking the edge off to zen to a little drowsy. I’ve used this product for 2-3 years only periodically with the older doggie & more frequently with the puppy - from a rescue & has some anxiety with crate- now she walks in it but I still give her ~1/3 of chew to take the edge off. We have an Australian shepherd, a golden doodle and a golden retriever. All our rescues, and two of the three supper from separation anxiety. My nephew Had a friend who used it successfully and suggested I try it. I was skeptical, but boy was I wrong! I used to have to take all my pillows papers, Anything they can get their mouth on and lock it all up in a spare bedroom for fear of destruction. I also crated the Golden. Two chews before we leave has been a game changer; it really works! They are still themselves just calmer. No more putting away half the house before we leave. we just got a 2 year old golden retriever & he has seperation anxiety We tried this when we left for about 35-40 min he was in his crate & had 2 1/2 chews he whined & barked for about 10 min after that I checked my camera & he was laying down the rest of the time. I've tried a lot of different cbd products to try and chill our hyper pup out a little and pay better attention and these are the best so far. She's 55lbs and I just give her one and it helps so much with training. I've also used it for her after she was spayed to help ease the discomfort and it seems to work. Dog likes to take it. Had to give it to him about 20 minutes or so before he needed it. My Bichon was about 16 when I had to find something to calm him for traveling and grooming. It helped but didn't knock him out. I would say his anxiety would go from 10 to 6-8. Just depends on his day.
