I got this to mix paints. The inclusion of steel ball bearings is a nice touch. I would reccomend getting some lab test tubes as the shape allows for better mixing, though this seems to mix everything except the neck of small droppers very well.

I wanted a small but efficient method to mix paints prior to airbrushing. This product was advertised as creating a centrifugal effect to do so but it is seriously lacking. While I will admit it does "shake" the contents and create lots of bubbles, it doesn't do much else. Spend an extra $20 to $40 and buy a laboratory grade centrifugal mixer to achieve the blending and mixing of your paints, (with minimal bubbles). ... show more

Does what it says but it takes a good 1 to 2 minutes to fully mix a bottle of miniature paint. Definitely add 2 of the bearings into each bottle before mixing. It speeds things up a lot and is a must! My only complaint is that it's a little noisy, especially when suctioned to a desk. Otherwise it's fine and has lasted 6 or 8 months so far with no problems ... show more
