  • Works Great to Mix Nail Polish
I use this to mix regular (non-gel) nail polish. It works very very well for that. Pros: + Works with all my nail polish bottles - regardless of shape. It works with square bottles (Lumen), flat-ish bottles (Mooncat), rectangular bottles (ILNP, Essie, Cirque), and basically every other shape. + Mixes polish even if there isn't a little ball in there/the little bottle is trapped in dried polish + I like that I can reposition the bottle to get the vortex to mix different spots (put it in upside down, on its side etc) Cons: - It does make some noise, but not really that much. - It will shake a non-sturdy surface, but what do you expect from a vortex mixer? - If you really want to do A LOT of mixing, you will get tired of having to hold the polish in the mixer - this is a design thing, though. If you want to do that, buy a different style of mixer. ... show more

  • Arthritic mini painter's savior -or- Naughty mini paint gets put in the vial jiggler
Bought this for painting mini TTRPG figures in order to help keep the paint more fresh and regularly shaken. Does it's job and does it well and has held up for years. It's a very simple device that has helped saved some strain on an arthritic wrist, allowing more time to be spent on painting then shaking tiny paint vials back to life. ... show more

  • Died after 2 years of use, worked well durring that period.
Worked fantastically for 2 years until it died today. i opened it up and one of the wires carrying power to the motor broke. they used very thin gauge wires and the motion of the device broke it free. it's an easy fix if you know how to solder. i don't have any soldering equipment so i'm buying a replacement. it was $60 when i got it but for the current $40 price i'd say it's worth the money. ... show more

  • Perfect to mix separated nail polish
I was influenced from a user in a Facebook group I’m in, who recommended to purchase this product, as it mixes nail polish well without the bubbles. I purchased it 2 months prior, but didn’t use it until today because I was in the process of moving. Now that I’m settled into my new place, I decided to try it out. I tested it on a nail polish that has separated. It was easy to set up on my table. It took a few minutes to mix the nail polish to get it back to its original formula. I can’t believe how well and how easy it worked to restore my nail polish. I intend to do this for the rest of my bottles. I also tested it on a topcoat because it was starting to dry out, so I added nail polish thinner. I suspected the item would leave air bubbles in the clear nail polish, but it did not. I’m very satisfied with this product. It was very inexpensive so I feel it is a good value for my money. I hope it lasts me a long time. ... show more

  • The Little Beast that could!
I bought this seeing all the overpriced mixers out there. Took a 2 year break and had around 300 pots to bring back to life. And boy did this work. Forget the 100 dollar ones. This didn't overheat shut down it held up the vigorous job. Very silent for what it does. This vortex mixes appose to the shakers. A must have for any mini painting project. 40k approved! ... show more

  • Not good - short cord, loses power
I've got a legitimate lab shaker that I got used for a reasonable price, but I wanted something that was smaller and maybe not as loud. Unfortunately, this shaker has two major problems: First, the power cord is way too short. It's ridiculous that it's supplied with a cord that is maybe three feet long, if that. I didn't have a lot of outlets in my house, so I have to use a surge suppressor. The brick barely touches the suppressor if the shaker is sitting all the way at the back of my desk. If I put the shaker where I can actually use it, I can't plug it in. Second, for some reason, the shaker action starts slowing down after a few seconds, which makes the unit useless if I need to really mix something well. Third, you have to make contact with a specific area of the shaker to get it to activate - if you flip a dropper bottle of paint, the tip of the cap doesn't have enough surface area to fully trigger the unit, and it either won't activate, or it will continuously rev up and slow down as it makes and loses contact. Because of these major limitations, this is a no-go for me. ... show more

  • Seems to work great after initial use
Only used once so far but seems to work great for properly mixing paints. Had bought a bunch of acrylic paints off marketplace and they had separated. This + hematite bead agitators seem to be working to revitalize those paints

  • Absolutely Amazing—A Must-Have for Hobbyists!
I purchased this vortex mixer to save both time and my shoulder, and WOW, it has exceeded all my expectations! As a commission hobby painter, efficiency is everything, and this little powerhouse is an absolute game-changer. Not only does it mix paint far better than shaking by hand, but it does so in just 15-20 seconds—no more endless shaking or struggling with separated pigments! The pictures show a before-and-after of one of my paints that had been sitting unused for quite some time, and the difference is night and day. If you're on the fence about getting one, do yourself a favor and grab it! Your paints (and your arm) will thank you! ... show more
