  • If you can't get a Steam Deck
This is a great alternative to the Steam Deck, I was able to play Street Fighter 5 and the SF6 beta at mid to low setting still hitting 60 FPS. Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance at high running 60fps at 720p and play multiple emulators up to PS2 at great frame rate. Battery is a hit or miss depending on what game you are playing. One last thing if you have a Egpu you now have a competitor to the Nintendo Switch. ... show more

  • Joystick stopped working after 1 month and warranty does no good.
One of the joysticks stopped working after 1 month. It feels fine but it is sending a left input that won't stop so the whole thing is totally useless. I contacted support, they asked for videos which I sent. They said they would send me a firmware update to see if that fixes it and if it doesn't they would send me a replacement joystick (that apparently I need to replace myself by taking apart the whole thing). I have yet to get the firmware update or a replacement joystick and they have stopped responding to emails. They would go 3-4 days in between emails in the beginning and now they have stopped all together. They say it has a 1 year warranty but that really doesn't mean anything if they won't respond to you or actually do anything to fix it. Don’t trust this company. ... show more

  • OneXPlayer Mini 16GB RAM I7-1195G7 with 2TB SSD
Computer memory size: 16 GB Hard Disk Size: 2 TB
I've had the OneXPlayer for a month and it has been perfect for my casual gaming. It feels a bit more immersive than a console so I actually find myself wanting to play longer than on the PlayStation or XBox. At home I generally keep it plugged in, however the portability proved to be a big plus on a recent flight. The device (inside I case I found to fit it), takes up only 1/3 of the space in my backpack. And while the battery alone won't last five hours in the air, a 65W power bank I carried with me was more than enough to keep it going. The build I got came loaded with a clean version of Windows 11, so with nothing weighing it down boot times on the device are really fast. Now, as a casual gamer 30 FPS or more is good enough, however for some of the more demanding titles I tried the graphic options needed to be set to low. But, this of course can be said of most handheld devices to date. At the time I started shopping for a portable, prices for Valve's Steam Deck were double its recommended MSRP and or just not available. I'm glad I decided to get the OneXPlayer mini as an alternative for the ease of use, capability to play many of the titles currently available, plus easy portability, not to mention the aesthetics. I mean this thing looks really good and the front facing speakers help it sound good as well (or go with Bluetooth earbuds for even more immersion). Since it is capable of being expanded with a compatible eGPU, I'm hoping to get many years of use out of it. A number of reviews I read complained about the onscreen keyboard and I agree it is a bit fiddly, it doesn't matter because I almost never need to use it beyond a one time setup for some games. It feels good in the hands and especially on a flight, I don't think it could have been much larger considering how cramped seating can be (plus the whole backpack thing). So thus far, it has been perfect. ... show more

  • WARNING! - Zero Customer Service
My OneXplayer has two bad USB C ports and I've been working with OneXPlayer to get the device fixed/replaced, they had me send video after video to prove I was having a problem, then had me send it to them at my cost, then sent it back to me still not working. Explained that it was still not working and they told me that's the way it is suppose to work (Broken). I highly recommend any other device. ... show more

  • Its not a steam deck... it's better!
Update: the onexplayer still amazes me. It’s been over a month. And I’ve watched some videos about the steam deck, I’m happy I got this instead. Wish they would post performance meters. I would like to see the device with right to repair in mind. But I think someone could make a mod, like a super extended battery on the back with controlling the intake flow, which wouldn’t be terrible to install. I think having a 65watt charger with you if you take it on the road is a good idea. Or if you can get a 65watt power delivery battery bank, for extra run time is smarter. Yes I got one from krisdonia on Amazon. —— original review: I've had a few weeks to play with this, and I have to say WOW. Yes I'm happy with this. If you've had the 1S you probably already know, but this one is light and portable. (Photos posted are of games running on the onexplayer not streamed; final fantasy Xv 56fps, astroneer 46fps, fallout 4 47fps, project zomboid, Minecraft, and Witcher 3 40fps) First; HOW TO GET INTO BIOS: Instructions are wrong, volume and home button does NOT work on this model. 1. Turn on keyboard mode, lower right of screen top button, yellow light should be on when it's enabled. 2. Boot the computer, not from sleep. From power off or with a restart only. 3. Start tapping the select button (top left of screen) which is ESC in keyboard mode. 4. You'll get into BIOS. Set up windows 11 without a Microsoft account: 1. Join your Wi-Fi on first boot but don’t select auto connect. 2. Let it check for updates and then reboot. 3. Don’t reconnect Wi-Fi after this. Continue setting up. 4. Windows will ask for a local username account to be created. Windows will try to get you to join your Microsoft account apparently every 30 days or so. Alright, this is not going to replace your desktop, nor your laptop, but it's great to play most game Low settings at 30-60fps on the console itself. Some games you need to reduce the screen resolution to 900p (1440x900) which hey, that's still better than the steam deck's screen res (1280x800). But the WiFi card is awesome in this device, and I can stream games (steam, and parsec tested) from my desktop with really great resolution and low latency. Sound isn't bad, the speakers are small, but in normal use sounds fine. I have not tested it for music. Update: tested for music and the audio is awesome. The lows aren’t great but it’s clear and well rounded, what bass you do get you feel in your hands. Very nice. Controls, feels better than a PS Vita, very solid on par with most controllers I've felt. Can't complain. Some games have issues with the iGPU which is not really the console's problem and sometimes can be fixed by turning up the performance settings in windows, at the risk of battery life (if you're plugged in don't worry). Battery life; what do you expect? In my testing all software is reporting to expect 2 hours and 45 mins of play time, YMMV give or take for screen brightness and actual game performance. That's when you're on battery, you can plug it in at any time and play forever. Could I get it to 4 or 5 hours of just console on time? Probably. BIOS: In bios you can adjust the wattage provided to the CPU in two power modes, Mode 1 I assume is "low power" and Mode 2 i assume is "high power". I assume this is controlled with the "Turbo" button (lower right of screen, below keyboard mode button) Make note of the factory defaults, as you'll adjust these (with an actual keyboard +/- buttons) you'll change the battery life of the system... give or take better performance more power to processor. I'd say give it the most power in turbo mode, and reduce the power to a good level in non-turbo to maintain battery life. Numbers are in milliwatts. Here's my complaints: Headphone jack is on top, kind of in a weird spot, so the cable will run down your hand... probably should just use bt headphones. One of the USBC ports (on top) seems like it's not perfectly fit to the case (crookedly soldered?), so any cable looks like it's pulling hard to the left. There's no screen protectors for it yet. I had to get a tablet screen protector and cut it to size. You can't buy a case for it by it self... you have to buy the bundle. (why?) I see mount points for a dock on the bottom... but there's no dock yet. (This will be nice to have a dock that can connect to a thunderbolt eGPU and connect to a TV or Monitor.) PLS!!! MAKE!!! Only 16gb of ram... OK this is probably a moot issue for the games you'll run. But I'd like more.... and actually I'd like to be able to replace/upgrade the ram. The ram used is on board and you can't get more than 16gb (2x8gb) in this package so it's not their fault. The nvme disk is not accessible when opening the case. The case has hidden screws under a taped down panel. (also under the top panel which is clipped, not taped) Instructions are bad: I've posted how to get into the bios above. ... show more
