  • Seems accurate
I received these strips today and conducted an interesting experiment to test their accuracy. I dipped one strip in water, one in milk, and another in egg white. As you can see in the pictures, the strip dipped in water appeared yellow (protein negative), the one in milk turned very green (protein 3+), and the one in egg white became dark green (protein 4+). Since egg white contains more protein than milk, the test results seemed quite accurate. My recent lab urine tests were negative, but I used the strip on my urine today to see what result it would show. For some reason, it indicated a ‘trace’ amount of protein. I suspect this might be because I had coffee with cream earlier and haven’t had any water yet today (a bit dehydrated). I’ll continue testing with these strips to determine their accuracy. So far, so good! ... show more

  • well. works
PRO: 1: works and appears to be accurate based upon same day blood work and testing with strips. CON: 1: Text with color code chart too small to read. i had to use magnify glass. 2: The color boxes are two similar with my eyesight. i could view color with multiple boxes. CONCLUSION: the similar color boxes i will not hold it to them. this could be my eyesight. the materials including case feels like quality. the accuracy appears to be accurate compared to blood work. not happy on text size. but will order again. overall it does what you want it to do. ... show more

  • I like the fact that this product is so easy to use.
I like that it’s so easy to use and helps me keep an eye on the amount of protein in my urine which is very important to me.

  • They don't seem to work
For background, I have Proteinuria as a result of creeping kidney disease (sucks getting old), This has been diagnosed by my primary care provider, and not just hypochondria. Because I like to be aware of my overall health and self-monitor I purchased these strips to monitor levels. To my surprise, even though the signs in the toilet pointed to significant levels, the strips always showed a 'neg' or negligible amount of protein in my urine. As this didn't seem correct I conducted tests by moistening the strips in stream, and by collecting a sample in a cup and immersing the strip for the full minute stated in the instructions, neither method registering anything beyond 'neg'. I also tried moistening a strip with meat juice and milk, both protein sources that should register something, but only receiving the same 'neg' indication. Based on this, I can only conclude that either this batch is corrupt, or that the strips are a hoax in general. Not too good. ... show more

  • I believe the results.
I got the ones that only tested for one thing. My guess is that the ones that test a bunch of things are confusing to use. Also, the urine may run from one thing to another and contaminate the tests. That said, these seem to be fairly accurate for protein in the urine.

  • Didn't work for me
Used the test strips as instructed and they showed no protein in my urine, but when I went to the VA clinic and they tested my urine the results came back with a high test result for protein. Maybe your experience will be better than mine.

  • Confusing color chart.
The colors on the chart are so similar that it’s difficult to tell where it lands. I tried 5 so far and the middle of the square is a total different shade than the outside. Unsure if I got a bad batch or what’s happening.
