The media could not be loaded. I never owned a portable printer before, but after receiving this one I am sorry that I didn’t. I can see how this could have saved me a lot of time and effort, mostly from helping friends who don’t have printers or access to printers. I can’t find anything to dislike about this printer. You can connect it via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth or USB C cable, it’s completely portable and rechargeable, it’s easy to operate, and you can use multiple sizes of thermal paper. You can print from your phone or your computer, which makes it a great asset when you find out your out of ink in your printer won’t do anything. It only weighs 1.5 pounds, an easy trade-off for your EDC, weight versus functionality. I have only used the thermal paper roll that came with it, I find the print quality is good, but is not the same quality as you would get with an inkjet printer, however, the pictures make it appear that you would get better quality from letter size paper. The printer feels nice and solid so it should stand up very well to carrying it around daily, it also comes with a carry pouch which makes it handy to keep your cable, manual, and your USB adapter. You can print from your phone app which I find easy to use or via USB cable from your computer. The printer itself is easy to operate and comes with everything you need to get started, it even comes with a USB-to-USB C adapter, the instruction manual is rather basic and guides you through the basics and how to download your phone app and a driver for your computer, both Windows and iOS systems. The manual makes no mention of the fact that is rechargeable, but the product description does, it also has basic operating instructions on the bottom of the unit as well as the customer service number and email for the customer service. I have not needed to contact customer service because the printer has no matter worked well. As I said I’ve never owned a portable printer before, so I have nothing to judge it against but this one seems to do the job well, and the price is in line with those I see online. ... show more

This is an incredible and extremely portable printer. It's compact, lightweight, and easy to carry. It comes with everything you need to get started-- including a charger for the printer and a roll of thermal printing paper. The set up couldn't be easier, and the instructions really walk you through it. Once you have everything set up, you can immediately start printing. You can print pretty much anything, including photos. Of course, everything you print will be in black and white, and the printing quality on the photos isn't stellar. But, that is to be expected. This printer is mostly for documents and things like that. Though I can say, for it's price and what is, the photo quality isn't at all terrible. You can print from anywhere-- phone, tablet, or PC. My daily regular printer is a 600dpi black and white laser, so I am partial to some good contrast. I got this little printer as a super-portable option for those times when I need something quickly and am travelling or away from my main printer, so I'm willing to sacrifice a bit for convenience. The first thing I noticed during setup was the severe lack of instructions. It has basic setup, but that's it. For example, there are some little loose plastic tabs inside the printer, and I have yet to find a writeup anywhere about what they're for or how to install them. My best guess is that they are page guides, but it's complete trial and error to get them set into the internal slots correctly, much less have them actually stay in place. The software it runs (the Phomemo app) is all I've used it for as I expect this to be a portable solution. Unfortunately, everything must be printed through the app (at least that I've found so far). If you want to print something, you either need to extract it to a file and use the app to open/print the file, or point to a web page where the app has a sort of built-in webview to try to print it. So far, my best solution has been to get things into a pdf format and print that way. Another issue due to lack of instructions was how to actually install paper to print. This arrived with a tightly rolled paper roll installed where everything comes out extremely curled up tightly, but does provide a compact option! I got some flat sheets as well (which is what every marketing photo seems to show for this anyway) and had to figure out how to even get it in (I ended up removing the rolled up sheets, dealing with the loose little 'page guides', and feeding the flat sheet in from the back side where the printer grabbed it and fed it a bit). This seems to be the appropriate method, and matches what I eventually managed to dig up in a manual in some corner of the internet. Printer quality is...mixed. Printing a photo was a miserable failure. Using a test pattern sample page, I first experienced problems where I ended up guessing that it might be due to low power (remember, no manual, so still guessing here). After charging, I reprinted with better results. Still, the 'blacks' aren't super or evenly dark and there are random lines throughout of lighter color. I feel it did a fair job showing different levels of gray. I believe contrast should be good enough to print a QR code (airline boarding pass, tickets, etc.), and can result in legible documents, but wouldn't be too eager to rely on this for imagery. Overall, it's a bit of a spendy option just to have a portable printer. Thermal paper doesn't have the greatest longevity, and of course is at risk to heat exposure (so don't leave it in your car in the summer is my best guess). But if you do need or want some convenience, bringing along the printer and some specialized paper (which of course is also more expensive than regular printer or copy paper), this is conveniently compact and does a fair enough job. ... show more

I needed a printer I could use while traveling. This printer is great for that. It's compact so it fits in my carry on. It does add a bit of weight as it's not super light. The set up for this is straightforward. There is an app to download for phone or iPad printing. For my Mac, I had to use the cable and go to their website to get the program downloaded. While not hard, it's just a few more steps. The printing quality is decent on this. Not as good as an ink printer but it's nice not to worry about expensive ink cartridges. The thermal paper is a bit more than regular paper so it's a tradeoff. It comes with one roll of thermal paper to get started. I like that I can use different sizes of paper, especially that I can use the thermal sticker paper. Overall, this is a handy printer that works great for portable use.
