The initial taste is not great but if you take it with orange juice you won’t notice. It’s not like fish oil where you kinda taste it after it breaks down in your belly. At least if you take it with food you probably won’t notice either. Not hard to swallow. The price is kind of high for me, but I’d say worth it to try to see how it works. Mushrooms have so many medicinal benefits it’s really amazing. I really like this product for the mental focus it gives me. I believe I have undiagnosed ADHD and have not been able to get medicated for that (also not sure I’d want to with the stuff they prescribe for it) So I decided to try this as an herbal supplement/natural medicinal alternative and it seems to work well. This along with my anti-depressants has given me more mental clarity, cleared the brain fog out, laser sharp mental focus at work, and also I do feel my body detox after taking this. I've been taking 2-3 of these capsules almost every day for about 2 months. My general mood has been better than it has in years, and I'm feeling calmer even though I'm handling a lot of stress. I began supplementing with L-theanine around the same time I started taking these, so I skipped the lion's mane for a week to see whether it made a difference. It did. My mood is better on overage when I take the lion's mane capsules. I'm also finding it easier to maintain focus under stress. I’ve had attention deficit disorder since childhood, so any improvement in focus is really noticeable to me. There is some scientific evidence that L-theanine can alleviate certain ADHD symptoms. My guess is that lion's mane wouldn’t affect focus as directly as L-theanine, but being calm makes it much easier to stay focused in stressful situations. It's possible that lion's mane and L-theanine have a synergistic effect, but I can only base this on my own experience. I usually get the power form of this product and add it to my coffee, but it changed the taste. I tried the capsule version and it's great. Same benefits without the taste issue. You do have to consume 3 capsules though.
