This workbench meets my needs for tool storage and workspace for small everyday home repairs. It wouldn't be tough enough for large heavy projects, but I didn't expect that. I opted for the "boltless" assembly, which is something of a misnomer, because even though many of the main parts go together with a peg-and-keyhole method, there are still dozens of bolts and nuts of four different sizes used throughout the assembly. Organizing these was confusing at first because the packages of nuts and bolts were labeled by size (M15, etc.) but the assembly diagrams identified them by A, B, C and D. Luckily I noticed the parts table on the last page of the instructions that translated one identification method to the other, so I put the hardware into four styrofoam cups marked A, B, C and D to match the labels in the diagrams and the rest was easy. The assembly instructions were mostly clear, though at several points larger diagrams would have been helpful and in a few places the illustrations were simply wrong -- for instance, the drawer rollers were not shown on some of the illustrations, so it was unclear how the rails should be oriented and I found out by trial and error. (By the way, other reviewers have complained that the drawers fell out or didn't work, but once I had them together I had no trouble.) The only point that presented a physical difficulty was at the very end of assembly when the bolts holding the worktop had to be assembled by aligning the nuts and washers in a very narrow space. Overall, however, I was well satisfied with both ease of assembly and the suitability of the finished product and feel that it deserves five stars. ... show more

This was fairly easy to assemble although the instructions are not as clear as they could be. Most of the joints were fitted together with notches & holes aligned with fittings. There is a pegboard backing that is not very strong, but it is OK. The biggest single issue I had was with the drawers. They do not fit tight, and one drawer keeps falling down. There is no way to make them fit tighter as connections are mostly made by joining welded parts. I like the overhead light and there is a connector on the right (as you face the workbench) for plugging in electric tools. For the price, it was an excellent value. If I could make the drawers tighter, I would have given this all fives. ... show more

The plastic feet all broke as I was putting them on. It was cool in my garage so they may have been brittle. The instructions were clear and mostly easy to follow.

End result is a decent work bench, the “easy assembly” is bogus! The plastic feet that came with it broke while attempting to put them on because they were too small. The directions have part numbers but none of the parts were labeled thus making it very difficult since most of the parts looked the same.     • Yikes! A complete nightmare.
Style: Easy Assemble (Boltless)
Extremely disappointed on every level. The package was severely damaged on all sides and partially opened, which I don’t normally take into account when reviewing a product as I assume it does not ship in that condition. However, upon opening the box, I instantly realized the flaws in the packaging and labeling. The edges of the desk panel we all broken and flaking apart, stickers which label parts were rubbed off and some were loose inside the box, leaving me to guess what many of the parts were in the instructions. Which leads me to that nightmare.. Screws, washers and bolts. SO many of them. Not labeled, stapled together in unsealed plastic sleeves. Hours of guesswork were required to build this desk. The quality of the materials used was very low. The metal supports are not truly secured, they simply rest onto each other and while building, they were constantly unhinging and falling apart. The screw and bolt segments were extremely difficult to secure in some areas, allowing little/no room for hands (if you have slightly larger than average hand size). Another thing to note is that if you build this desk in a location that is not precisely where you want it to stand upon completion, you will have an incredibly difficult time moving it - even just a few feet - as the core of the desk is not truly secured in any way as stated before. The drawers are sad. Don’t expect to use them often. They are flimsy, loose, and are easily unhinged from the tracks while building the rest of the desk. Side note while building the drawer housing - the mounting brackets were labeled incorrectly. L was on the right piece, R was on the left. I wasted over an hour wondering why the drawer would not connect, realizing the mislabeling, deconstructing it and figuring it out through trial and error. This took me approximately six hours to complete, and I’m no beginner to building furniture pieces. This was by far the worse experience I’ve had constructing something like this. The final product is no more a workbench as it is a storage table or for gentle activities like arts and crafts. Any hard object will dent and scuff the cheap “finish” on the composite wood desk top. I’m afraid to even put a glass of water on it. I’ve used amazon regularly for over 10 years and my apartment is mostly furnished by amazon items and this is the first review I’ve ever written in such extent with photos. I strongly suggest avoiding this product and spending an extra bit to get something of quality. This is not what you want. ... show more

I purchased this for an unusual reason. As a desk for my son's room. He is a tinker and loves to do different things and felt a conventional desk wouldn't do. This is a well made and very heavy sturdy work bench that was very easy to assemble and well made.
