This is a fantastic light duty workbench for the price! If you are looking for an inexpensive workbench for model assembly or painting, jewelry making, small wood projects or electronics, this is worth a second look. Pros: Built in three outlet strip, can be put on left or right of bench Built in overhead light with a switch (some workbenches with lights do not have switches) Two wide drawers Upper and lower shelves Sturdy when fully assembled Relatively easy to assemble (though the assembly process is long) Reality Check: You won't be using this to rebuild engines Hardware kit includes exactly the number of fasteners you need to assemble the bench, but no more. Don't lose any! Light included is about 14 watts. Fine for general lighting of the bench, but not enough for detailed work. You may need supplemental lighting. The existing light fits underneath the upper shelf, and it seems like it would be very easy to put in a stronger light. Bench looks pretty good, but it's built for function, not for looks. As an example, the drawers work fine but have large gaps around their faces. Everything considered, I'm incredibly happy with this bench. If you have Prime, this 90 pound bench gets delivered to your door at no extra cost. That's a pretty good deal! If you keep in mind what this bench is supposed to be, it's a great value. NOTE: The photo shows a white pegboard, but only because I painted it to help the light provide more illumination. The pegboard comes in the package in a natural tan/brown. ... show more

    • Great workbench for the money
I'm not one to spend time reviewing a product but I'll make an exception. I debated building a workbench from scratch or buying this workbench off Amazon. The price of wood is just too prohibitive no. I'm very pleased I went ahead and bought this workbench instead of building from scratch. It's sturdy, easy to assemble, although one of my dogs ran off into the yard with my bag of bolts spilling them everywhere. No worries, I was able to retrieve the bolts and nuts. The workbench is the perfect size too. Has two drawers, a peg board back to hang tools and a nice big area for storage down below. Very pleased and I highly recommend. ... show more

Once put together, It looks decent and is quite sturdy. I put it together on my own, it was a bit of a challenge as my space was limited. Make sure not to confuse the bolt sizes. The instructions are okay but not quite informative enough. Wasn't missing any pieces. The pegboard was slightly too large on one side, but that was because the frame was off by about 1/16th" or so. Most likely my fault whilst building it. It's nice enough, though you might find yourself running out of space very quickly. Light could be a bit brighter. ... show more

Okay.. I liked it so much that I bought two! Assembly was a little more than I thought it would be, but that's only because it's big and it's metal. Had a little trouble with one of the drawers, but I "fixed" it. It's sturdy enough, but not as much as if you spent twice this amount. The big deal here is that is works as advertised, and is a great deal for the money. I would reccommend getting an overall power strip for the unit. It is not a heavy duty work bench, but is well built for light to moderate jobs. I use it in my utility room to store tools and do house hold repairs. I love it for that.

    • You get what you pay for, almost
So at the end of the day this is a fairly sturdy workbench that will generally meet my needs as someone who does minor repairs and DIY projects. It would not stand up to heavy use — for example I would not bolt a vice to it. And the melamine surface isn’t ideal, and the drawers are designed not to seal shut. It was inexpensive, though, and will be OK for me. It arrived stinking of gasoline, however. I couldn’t bring it in right away, and even after giving it time outside I still had to air out the house after unpacking it. I don’t know if that’s the seller’s or shipper’s fault. It also arrived quite beat up. Somebody had taped up a bashed corner, and there were open gashes in the box as well. Packing materials were minimal, so everything had banged around in the box. One of the packages of nuts and bolts had torn open, and several pieces of the bench were bent. Some seemed poorly made to begin with. I was able to straighten the bends out well enough with a couple crescent wrenches. For something simple it has *a lot* of pieces. One hardware bag had 78 nuts and bolts, and there were several smaller ones. Be careful with these because you don’t get extras. And don’t rely on a single screwdriver, as the instructions suggest. You need three sizes, and wrenches, bot to bend parts as needed and tighten bolts. ... show more

    • 1001 pieces and an afternoon of assembly...but great product
This took me and my friend 4 hours to assemble and a bottle of wine. The instructions are not real clear in some parts so we had to redo some parts when we discovered the points weren't meeting. If your holes aren't lining up, you have assembled it incorrectly as they all fit perfect once we figured out the issues. It is incredible sturdy. Bought the peg board hooks to mount my tools and things - still have that part to organize how I like. ... show more
