  • I love it
I use this regularly for work. It fits in your pocket easily (close in size to a pocket knife). Battery lasts for a long time and recharges pretty quick. Very easy to use. Laser isn’t super powerful, but it works fine for stuff nearby. It remembers the last light level you had it on. No need to cycle through them all every time you turn it on or off. No annoying strobe setting either. ... show more

  • Amazingly bright, never needs to charge
Style: Cool White (5700K~6700K) Color: Pinwheel Gunmetal Grey
I bought mine about six months ago, and I carry it every day. This light was one of the best purposes I've ever made. It's expensive, but it's built to last. The light is very robust, and easily clips inside your pocket. The charger is a bit annoying because it's unique (so if you lose it you're in trouble), but the light comes with a nice magnet on the back so the light will clip to metal surfaces and stay put. The light is extremely bright (you have to double click the button for the full brightness). The laser is kind of pointless for me, but is very bright and carries well. I've used this light for over 3 months at a time with charging it and not even had it drop a single bar on (limited use, but every day). This thing absolutely holds a charge and will not let you down. I highly recommend it if you can afford it. My only real complain is the switch from laser to light seems a bit flimsy (compared to everything else) and it tends to flip back and forth in your pocket, so you always have to check it when you use the light. ... show more

  • Very Good
Style: Netural White (4000k~5000K) Color: Black
I'm used to Surefire flashlights. I've been using the Olight Arkfeld for a couple of months now. The size is perfect for everyday carry and fits comfortably in the pocket. It doesn't fall out or get in the way. The clip works good. The selection of lumen choices and brightness of each is excellent and very useful: Long press turns on the map light(lowest setting). This is good if you don't want to bring attention to yourself, ruin your night vision, or make your battery last forever. Single press turns on either low, medium, or high. All beams are flood light, and at about 8 foot away the width is about 5 ft wide. It's a very intuitive sized flood and easy to use. Low is nice for indoor use and close up outside with an excellent battery life. Medium is fairly bright and easily extends out 30 to 50 ft outside. High is bright enough to use as a search flood reaching out 100 ft or more. A double press turns on the highest setting. It's really bright and easily goes out 300 or more feet. I don't believe it stays on for long as it automatically dims back to protect the battery. A triple press turns on the Strobe which is extremely bright and would undoubtedly blind an attacker. However, pressing the button three times feels awkward, and I think it might be challenging to do under the stress of being attacked. I didn't buy the light for protection, so it's not an issue for me. A partial rotation of the dial surrounding the operational button changes the light to laser pointer mode. The laser is green and moderately bright. Very good for indoor presentations. Not bright enough for pointing at the stars, but will go out 300 to 500 ft with a reasonably tight beam. My only complaint here is with the dial itself which will often rotate on its own, while in my pocket, but it's not a big deal for me as it's easy to simply rotate the dial back. The magnet on the base is usually strong enough to secure the light to flat steel. It works reasonably well on a refrigerator for example, though uneven steel surfaces may interrupt the magnets attraction enough to keep the light from fastening properly. The magnet on the base also attaches the charging cord. This was a concern for me as I've had bad luck with this type of charging system in the past. Also the charging cord is sort of specialized and not available at just any store. This type of magnetic connection often fails with time as it doesn't really make a good enough connection to charge. However the magnet on this device is sufficiently strong enough so that this problem may not occur. Only time will tell. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • Bright EDC Flashlight
Style: Cool White (5700K~6700K) Color: Desert Tan
Update, 08/25/24 This EDC light is still going strong and working perfectly. The finish is wearing off, but that’s not surprising, since I carry it all day and every day. Pros: (1) The flat shape is great for pocket carry. Most of the time, I don’t even know it’s there; (2) very bright light, especially for its compact size; (3) no “black hole” in the middle of the beam, regardless of which brightness setting it’s on; (4) rotational selector switch is convenient and easy to use, to switch between flashlight and laser function; (5) convenient power button; (6) handy safety lock function built into the power button; (7) four point illuminated battery level indicator; (8) magnet base that doubles as the charging port; (9) removable sturdy spring metal pocket clip; (10) every light is serial numbered; (11) reasonably lightweight; (12) attractive appearance; (13) ruggedly built; (14) holds a charge; (15) easy to recharge; (16) comes with a dedicated and strong magnetic charging cord. Cons: (1) If the light is left unlocked and the power button is accidentally activated, with the light at its brightest setting, the light beam gets hot enough to burn skin and/or clothing. I’ve put this to the test and was disappointed to find that there’s either no proximity system, or it’s malfunctioning on both of my Arkfeld lights; (2) I’ve had this Arkfeld light for just under three months and the finish is already wearing off at and around its base, even though I only carry it in my pants pocket. This is one of two Arkfeld lights I own, and both show significant signs of finish wear. This matters little to me, as it doesn’t affect the performance of the light, but it’s worth mentioning; (3) the brightness of the laser beam is a great pointer when used indoors, but not as effective for daytime outdoor use. In summary: No matter how great a flashlight might be, it’s worthless unless you have it handy when you need it the most. Due to the convenient shape, size, and weight, this is an excellent EDC light. I would recommend this light to a friend. ... show more
