Take it from a salt addict...and scumbag version of a beef jerky connoisseur...I've tried them all...I still buy them all as if I know what on earth I'm actually doing when in reality I just love having molassess for poop, mud butt all day and peeing orange. But let me say this...perhaps with this br
and (my first time with them)...this had everything nailed perfectly. I shared pieces with friends, while hiding where my bag was within my workshop because while I wanted an opinion or two...I sure as heck don't want to share my beef jerky with anyone but me and my dogs...and they really can only have a tiny bit before its not cool for their health. Moving on. -Texture...spot on -Seasonings...spot on -Hydration...spot on -Taste...spot on and then some. Maybe I got a God bag of jerky...it could very well be and while I understand taste/preference is subjective per person...this entire bag was the same excellent consistency and it made me feel happy about life during a Masschusetts winter which no other beef jerky's I've bought could possibly do. In conclusion...this was so excellent that even I couldn't keep digging my hand into the bag hoping for a better piece. I just appreciated it and still have 90 percent of the bag left which my hands have purposely touched everything so it's mine. Good day to all.

Outstanding flavor and good texture

I have bought different Jerky from Old Trapper before however this is the first time I bought their Peppered jerky. The texture and flavor of their Peppered Jerky is really great. I will buy from them again.

Finally, some jerky that you can’t read the newspaper through. Purchased pepper brand, it is very good and just the right amount of paper. Love it thickness and tenderness.

I purchased this because of the reviews. I got hot and spicy and is is hot and spicy but not overly hot. Flavor is fantastic. Some pieces are soft and some are hard and chewy. I'm ok with that...it's jerky after all. My issue is it has alot of (cartilage/tendons/something) that I chew and chew and ch
ew and it just never breaks down so I have to spit it out. If you like then bonus for you. I'm not into it. I'll consume this package but probably will not purchase again. Shame because as I said flavor is super good.

I have to say it took way too long to get this, even for Amazon I was shocked. Good flavor, a bit hot actually but, I snacked on these for a good long time when I was doing protein only for a diet. It does help you curb your cravings and will assist in losing weight if you diet right

I normally make my own because i have not found any store bought stuff i really like. OLD TRAPPER is the best i have ever bought and im 67-years old and eat a lot of jerky and pepperoni .

I know beef jerky is salty, but this one is a bit harsh and it covers the other flavors. I still ate it though. A solid "it's okay" rating.
