    • Good cutter that requires uncommon blades and makes it awkward to change them.
In most ways this is an excellent utility knife. It is very compact, but provides a good grip. The blade control is well designed to prevent accidental extension or collapse. The pry bar is small and somewhat blunt, but quite solid and useful. The bottle opener and hex driver work well. This knife requires utility blades that have holes down the middle. Most blades of this type do not. I have not seen any high-end coated blades, hook blades, or concave blades that will work in it. Changing blades does not require tools, but it is awkward. You have to unscrew the post that holds the blade from one side to remove the blade. Installing the new blade means holding the spring-loaded button down, while keeping it aligned with the hole in the blade, and screwing the post back in. This knife will work well for most people. The average user will be satisfied with the unusual blades and will rarely need to change them. ... show more

I purchased this as a bundle package (Octacle carbon fiber + 10 pack replacement blade) for roughly $20. Excellent design, function, and ergonomics. Fit comfortably inside your pocket. For those looking to put this on your keychain, this product is not it (too bulky). For those that want an Everyday Carry (EDC) tool that's convenient to grab for opening boxes, quick tightening of loose screws, and occasional beer drinkers at a bbq, this is your tool. I purchased a blue g10 version as well, even thou the picture does not show a lock in the back, the actual knife did come with a lock feature. Some reviewers comment that this uses proprietary blades, this knife can also use SATA 93434A blades. It's still the better value buying the 10 pack replacement blades thru Oknife than trying to find and purchase SATA 93434A blades. For the price and quality, you can't beat this product. Update: 1/15/24 - After numerous use, I decided that this knife needs a cleaning (steel side has glue residue from package tapes). Removed blade screw, remove blade, and unscrew 4x T6 screws. Inspecting the carbon fiber scale front and back. It's full carbon fiber (packaging states g10 and carbon fiber), it must be an error on the packaging description. After clean up and screwing everything back together, rotating the blade screw 12 times to tighten gives it the perfect retention in the opening/closing mechanism imo. Great Product! ... show more

Didn't notice the blades were proprietary before I ordered it. It's a nice knife and pretty useful but the blades being proprietary and as far as I can tell not available on amazon is a deal breaker for me. I'll stick with the prybrid and gift this one to someone else.

    • This is a great little knife
I find this knife to be perfect for opening boxes. It fits in my pocket so easily. I volunteer at a food pantry so there are many cases of food to be opened and displayed on a shelf. The blades are high quality and last, I’m on about 6 weeks of usage and still on the first blade.
