Going to the beach with two kids guarantees that we will bring half of the beach sand home in the car’s floor mats. This product is an awesome solution for the inevitable beach mess by providing an ample waterproof area to change on, as well as a convenient cinch sack to transport all those wet, sandy articles home! I tested this changing pad/sack over the thanksgiving holiday at our annual beach camping trip and it was great to have a clean spot (about 30” diameter, give or take) to change out of my wetsuit and then simply pull the drawstrings and throw the bag over my shoulder for the walk back up to camp. The standing area of this sack feels sturdy enough to stand up to most surfaces. If I were to use this on volcanic reef areas, I would probably throw a towel under the sack before standing on it. The waterproof section of the sack is big enough to encapsulate an adult sized wetsuit before the breathable fabric starts, ensuring that your wetsuit won’t leak all over your car in transport. The sack does breathe, so it’s important to place it upright in your car to prevent water getting all over the place. The media could not be loaded. This is a simple but extremely useful item. It’s a combo tote bag and changing mat. First, you can throw everything in it you need for your outing. Then just pull the drawstrings and cinch it closed. When you arrive just set it down, pull out the drawstrings, and you have access to everything. When you’re done swimming or surfing just stand on the mat and remove the wetsuit, or whatever. It’s great because you don’t have to drag it in the sand or mud. The mat is thin and waterproof. This changing mat has been incredibly useful. I lake swim here in the PNW year round. This bag will be great for the summer to change at the dock. But it has really been useful here in the winter so I can change in the house! I can set this down, walk in and change without getting water all over the floor-so useful! I throw all my gear in it and walk down to the lake every day then toss my wet gear and walk back to the house to change. It’s super convenient. Not necessary but sure is so nice to have! I could make a great gift for the swimmer/surfer/diver/snorkeler in your life! ... show more

You know you've stumbled onto something good when your kid snags it out from underneath you and takes off for the hills with it, right?! Alright, so she headed down to the beach, but you get the idea. If my Marine Biologist open water diving daughter - whom 3-4 times a week is getting in & out of her 10 mil wetsuit diving in the ocean - says "Oh, my goodness, that is the BEST thing you've ever found!"..... then I know it's good! About 3 feet in diameter and made from a heavy duty plastic (just like it looks like it is in the pictures), you can bet this thing gives you a clean spot to stand, strip out of whatever wet gear you're wearing and cleans up neat & nice once your trip is over. My daughter says that the drawstring cinch on it is amazing. Let's her package up her wet gear for a clean trip home. And after her wet stuff is out of it and hanging to dry, that same thick plastic it's made of rinses off clean and easy. She absolutely loves it! Says it's seriously one of the most useful pieces of equipment she has in her arsenal. So that's about it. Thought I might have a nice changing/carry mat for my own wetsuit..... turns out now my daughter does. Guess I wasn't really meant to take up surfing in my 40's anyway, but she's happy and getting great use out of it, so all is well ;-) Enjoy! ... show more

    • OCTO Changing mat is great for after outdoor water sports ! Keep feet, suits and car cleaner.
I ordered the OCTO changing mat for use especially after paddle boarding to keep my feet, wetsuit and car neat and cleaner after being out on the water. The nice thing about this mat is that it's super compact and comes in it's own zip up bag. The mat is lightweight with two different textured surfaces so you can tell which side is UP/Down easily and it has strings that you pull to cinch it up if you(r) 1. have a wetsuit or bathing suit(s), shoes or gear to transport home so your vehicle won't get wet or dirty/sandy 2. sandy or dirty feet release on the mat not your vehicle, then you can rinse it off and dry the mat after rinsing at your destination. The only thing I'm going to add to it is a clip or a carabiner to keep the carry sac attached to the mat NBD but my only concern is that the two might separate and well I'm just detailed like that so keeping them connected will work best for me (or I'll just stow the carry bag in a compartment of my sup back pack) Definitely recommended. The material reminds me of a seat cover I used to have for my car to protect from dog hair Nylon on one side and a smoother plastic black surface to stand and change on is the UP side. Well made and will hopefully stand up to many uses. It's winter time so I only tried it out at home. Also it's easy to refold and repack into the carry sac (definitely a good thing) Recommended for anyone who needs to change outdoors and wants to keep their feet and gear from getting sand, grit or dirt on it! ... show more
