I've had this OCOOPA Warmer/portable charger 10,000 mah model for almost a week now. It's kind of like a bar of soap. Not heavy either. Could fit in large winter gloves if you did not need to use your hands and be functional. I have not tried this myself though. I have 2 of these units. I will explain why I returned the other one at end. My experience will be only using this as a hand warmer. I think this device will be perfect for what I need it for. I work out on an airport tarmac in the middle of the night and it gets very cold. To test the ability of this unit I went through 4 straight days of continually using and charging cycles with excellent results. There are 3 heat settings. The highest setting in my opinion gets too hot to even handle the unit. 2nd setting would probably work best when it does get to below -0°F. But the 1st setting will stay nice and warm when you need to hold on to it. This thing heats up extremely fast. Less than a minute. I was thinking I would need to leave this thing on in my pocket all day hoping it would not die toward the end of my shift. Turning it on when needed is just as good. I had only one shift where I actually used it on my hands where it hovered around 32°F with misting raw rain & wind chill off the ocean. (In my opinion I doubt it is anywhere near waterproof or is water resistant so I would not expose to wet elements.) The usage time which is what I was worried about is just phenomenal. On the lowest setting I can get anywhere from 12 to 14 hrs. Just shy of advertised 15 hrs. On 2nd setting it's around 10 to 11 hrs. I did not test on highest setting because I don't think I will use that because it's just too hot. Charging takes roughly around 3 hrs. The 3 hours advertised by the company I assume does require a certain amperage from your charger. (Which they don't include.) (The USB C cable is included.) I do happen to have the newest Samsung 45w charger & 5 amp cable from my phone that's more than adequate to charge this in 3 hours. I don't know about older chargers with lower amperage/wattage & voltage. Now the 2nd unit I purchased heats up good like the first unit. The three settings work also like the other unit. But the battery time only lasted about 6 hrs on the lowest setting with the same continuous 4 day cycling test. Obviously there is a battery cell problem so I I'm returning that one. I wrote this review because you should know that I did end up with one unit that worked very well and one that was obviously either used and repackaged or just defective. Since I can only attest to about one week of usage I don't have a longevity review. This unit is advertised to be using a newer lithium cell 21700 which I use in high power LED flashlights. These batteries are awesome. However I don't know how this type of battery will last long term in this application (built inside a unit to create "high" heat). Heat drastically shortens lifespan of lithium cells. For now it does what I need at a good price $$$. Time will tell. ... show more

I have poor circulation to my extremities and live where there's cold winters. Even though I don't do much outdoor exploration in the winter, I do play a lot of computer games. Cold hands are quite hard to play games with, and I found that disposable hand warmers helped but weren't exactly environmentally conscious with the amount of packaging involved. I looked around the market of rechargeable hand warmers, initially looking at Zippo ones because I knew the name brand. But after reading reviews it sounded like they only recently jumped into the market and haven't quite hit the mark, yet they were expensive for the branding. Gotta say this hand warmer has exceeded my expectations. For my use case of warming up my hands before games and while waiting to respawn, the device warms up really quick and the lowest heat setting is plenty warm to get my blood flowing. It was a little larger than I expected but fits in the hand extremely well, in my grip it covers the entire surface area of my palm and fingers. The battery lasts forever with me using it on the lowest heat, and with a usb-c to usb-c cable and a fast charging brick from my phone it gets to full charge in no time. Build quality is pretty good, there's a silicone grip ring that runs the circumference of the device that kinda peels up because it's not glued down or anything. But doesn't cause an issue as it's not serving any purpose expect for grip. Has three different style ports for charging both the device and whatever device you connect to it, e.g. your phone, mouse, headphones. The spatter coated plastic hides micro scratches pretty well and feels good in the hand, and the silicone conducts heat well and is soft to the touch. I don't use the wrist strap much, but could see it being useful for when I take this skiing. ... show more

They still work. Unbelievably. They both still heat, uncomfortably warm if it's against bare skin. They both still hold a lot of power and I still use them as backup batteries even in warm weather. They have gotten CONSTANT use, because I used them as lab tools. Put one in a silicone bag and it provides super gentle constant warming. The pictures are: 1. All three heat levels still work, even though at one point my dog tried to eat it. 2. Seriously, it was a whole Philly cheesesteak situation, but he put serious dents in these chargers, you can see bare metal on the back, yet... They still work somehow. Perfectly. 3. The connector ports are great, and all still work with no noticeable decrease in performance. I've had electronics where the ports were basically lint traps, or the ports quickly degrade. This is after 3 years and multiple dog chewings. I have used these for many things and they've had a rough life, but they hold up beautifully. 10/10 durability. HOWEVER one star deducted because WOW they get quite warm. Too warm to be against bare skin. Use caution, especially if giving them to a child or elder. ... show more
