  • Easy to use following online instructions and demonstrations.
The ding dong TPMS system in my 2011 Mustang had failed and thus put up the failure warning message. The car had four new sensors in new tires and in an effort to get it it working I bought a "training" device and a used electronic systems control module to put in place of the original, hoping that would cure the problem. Nope, still not working. Local Ford dealer said it would cost $800+ to fix it. No way! Thanks to Google I discovered the ForScan software and the magic trick to disable the TPMS system. There are several choices for the OBD link device that is the interface to your laptop, but this model is the one recommended by the FOrScan developers, so I chose it. The whole process of installing FORScan to my laptop and linking up to this adapter was quite easy and the online info on how to quickly disable the TPMS system was easy to follow. I know to check my tire pressures regularly and so these TPMS systems are pretty silly in my experience. Judging by the complaints I see on the net, many folks have problems with these TPMS systems and it is often expensive to get them working correctly. Fortunately for Ford owners it is not hard to disable the system and get back to using a good tire pressure gauge weekly. ... show more

  • Ford Escape Titanium 2022
Worked great to add Global Windows Open and Close using the pre-programmed settings without having to do anything in the as built modules. Was also able to clear Airbags lights when I turned on the car without the seat airbags connected. You have to register for a free 2 month trial to use the As Built Modules. Overall a great tool specific to fords. I was previously using a generic OBDII scanner using OBDwiz, this cable and software lets you get access to everything the vehicle has to offer plus the ability to troubleshoot items only the "Dealer" can access. ... show more

  • Well worth every cent! Pays for itself many times over!
Bought this simply because I wanted to install a trailer brake controller on my truck. I needed to tell my trucks computer that I had installed the TBC. It worked like a charm for that but then my forward windshield camera got jacked up because I hauled a bit too much river rock to my house. The weight of the rock changed the angle of the camera (nose of the truck was very high) so much that the truck thought the camera malfunctioned and I lost my pre-collision assist. I thought at first my camera had gone out completely but when I plugged the OBDLink in to read the DTS code I found out that the camera still worked but it needed a re-calibration. With Forscan and the OBDLink I was able to recalibrate the camera all by myself. The OBDLink saved me at least $400 on both those jobs combined. I VERY MUCH RECOMMEND this product if you are a do-it-yourselfer or a want-to-save-money-er! ... show more

  • Low price and high quality!
I really like this adapter, hardware seems to have no issues with any vehicles I've used it on so far, however "ease of use" is very subjective to the software that you actually use with the adapter. I bought this primarily to work on Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep/Alfa/Fiat vehicles, AlfaOBD is very much worth the money if you want to avoid the dealership, but the software has a learning curve and can be a bit clunky at times, but the adapter will never let you down! Would happily buy this again! ... show more

  • OBDLink EX FORScan OBD Adapter
If you are using ForScan you need this OBDLink. Works great and you don't need to move a switch every time you read or write to a module.

  • Works well!
I ordered this product to be used with the Forscan program to access my backup camera on my 2011 Ford Edge since I had to replace it. The OBDLink EX FORScan OBD Adapter was very easy to use. The drivers were installed easily and recoginzed by my Windows 11 laptop. Since this is an automatic switching device, it scanned both networks automatically. Once I found the function I needed, it communicated very well. The LED provided the status of communications and was easy to follow. Highly recommended! ... show more

  • Exactly what I needed
This was recommended to me so I could use Forscan on my car. Worked perfectly. Plug it into your laptop, let it install the drivers, then plug the OBD2 sensor and your all set. Quick delivery.

  • Best forscan adapter I've tried
I've used the cheap Chinese elm adapters for a couple years now. I needed to update a couple modules and the old adapter wasn't cutting it. Ordered this one and will never go back to the cheap elm adapters. This one is almost as fast as the ids/fdrs I use at work
