    • Outstanding product for Volkswagen Auto Group owners
This device is absolutely necessary if you want to save yourself money in diagnosing and fixing problems. For example, I wanted to upgrade my car's battery from a regular one to an AGM battery which requires clearing out codes and adapting the new battery to the electrical system. If you do this at a VW dealer, it will cost you nearly $500 (with battery). I bought the battery for $175 and did all the electrical stuff with this OBDeleven product. Here's what I like about it: 1. The app (you have to download it for iOS or Android) is easy to use and very modern. Whoever is behind it keeps it up-to-date. 2. The scanner syncs with the app quickly and easily. If you have ever connected AirPods to your iPhone, it's about that easy. 3. It reads all of the codes and gives you a description of what they are. And they provide links to get more information if you need it. 4. It's easy to clear all of the outstanding codes (and there's a lot of them when you switch batteries). 5. The scanner is small and compact, and you can hide it in your glovebox. 6. It's just fun to use.     • Very useful tool for my Audi's
I originally bought the tool to do the adaptation on my new car battery. It has also become useful for running system tests, resetting the inspection interval message, making feature adjustments with adaptations and long coding.

    • Worked great on 2017 Audi Q5
I needed a way to disengage the electronic parking brake so I could swap out the rear brake pads. This little item did just the trick. I also used it to clear engine codes and make a few other changes. It's quite versatile and well worth the money since it saved a few hundred dollars in labor by a shop to change out those brake pads. ... show more

    • Don’t program while car is running!!!
This product can ruin your car very easily! I tried adding one of the one click apps to my 2018 RS3 (XDS Interaction) while the car was running in park. Immediately after adding the app the cars dash lit up and threw several codes. No longer had AWD, traction control, ABS, Audi pre sense. Also none of the parking sensors were functioning after adding the app. Ultimately had to take it to a European shop and they couldn’t fix it so they took it to the dealership. The dealership were the only ones with the tool that could reprogram all the control modules back to factory settings. OBD11 should have a safety in place where it doesn’t let you program your car for certain features while the car is on and running. I would think it would be an easy feature to add to there application. Also, OBD11’s support is trash. They took forever to respond and didn’t provide any useful solutions. All I can say is back up your control modules that you are programming and don’t program the car while the engine is running. ... show more

    • Confused about the pro account and credits? Read here
This is a very powerful, capable tool in the hands of someone who knows how to code modules. This is still a very useful tool for those less familiar with coding, and the credits make that easy too. For starters, you do need an account. When you first connect the dongle to your phone, the pro account automatically unlocks, no need to look for a code to redeem or anything else. You do NOT need to use the in-app "one click apps" (read: spend more money for convenience) to code things; if you feel comfortable enough coding the modules on your own, all you need is the pro account or higher. There are tons of guides for VW/Audi online that walk you through how to code various features, and I'm sure guides exist for other makes of vehicle. I did experience a few occasions where the dongle seemed to time out and didn't respond for several minutes, or modules did not accept certain long coding. All I did was shut the car off, let it completely power down (open and close driver door, lock doors) and then try again which fixed it every time. Do note that some coding requires the hood to be open, so pay close attention to directions. Hope this helps eliminate some confusion! ... show more

    • Works well on 2006 A4
2006 Audi A4 B7 FWD CVT Premium. I needed to turn off the STUPID SEAT BELT CHIME. Buying the Ross-Tech for $300 just for that is not a good idea. I heard this can turn it off. It WORKED! I also made a couple of mods too. It's pricey since you can get monitoring bluetooth readers for $15. I like the capabilities and I think it's a good investment since it can be updated. Also, some of the channels have instructions built in meaning there's no need to scour the internet. The app is OK but it does need you to log in, but then again what doesn't nowadays. Recommended only if you plan to mod your Audi. ... show more
