So, it definitely works: rotates easily & smoothly. The problem that logistically it doesn't work for ME. The reason I wanted this is that I have a bad back & everyone says the correct way to get into the car is to sit down on the seat with your legs in outside of the car in front of you & then turn your whole body at once into the car. (The wrong way is to put one leg in sideways, crouch & then pull the other leg in.) Because I have bucket seats, I thought it would have to fit inside the 'bucket,' to make sure that it would rotate without getting clogged up. The problem is that there are a few inches between the car seat & the pillow. So to get onto the pillow, I'd have to sort of bump up my bottom from the side of the car, to get all the way on top of the pillow. Since I'm very short (5'), it was difficult to do this maneuver. Trying this wasn't any better for my back, so I'm not sure what the solution is. If I get a swivel pillow that's bigger, it seems as if it won't work well because of the bucket seat. Will have to think more about this....... ... show more

When you have limited range of motion, this is an amazing little product that gives you a few more inches of visibility for twisting and turning while you're driving in the car (or if you're a passenger, to rotate around and climb out). Either way, I love this item because it's made of wood inside - not plastic and that's vital because my prior plastic version cracked and broke from the heat. It's cushion is comfortable enough for long drives. I love this purchase. And I know - dealing with spine surgery and limited range of motion needs an item like this! ... show more

    • Fits but still doesn't work for bucket seats

The product itself works as described, and it even fits in the middle of a bucket seat (Prius front passenger), which is the main reason I got this one. Previous ones I've tried were too wide to fit into the center so it didn't swivel as it was rubbing against the sides of the bucket seat. The problem is that my Mom gets in by sitting on the edge of the bucket seat - beyond where the swivel is. Then she scoots over on top of the swivel but never used any part of the swivel. Getting out, I move her legs out of the car, but again the bucket seats prevent the swivel from actually doing anything because the edges of the bucket are higher than the swivel so I didn't see it swivel at all. Then she slides forward and out, but again the swivel didn't do anything. Too bad. ... show more

After back surgery I have to keep shoulders and knees in alignment to avoid twisting. The rotating cushion works well for that. At first used on kitchen wooden chair. Now that I am driving again I use it in the car. Needed to add another cushion to reduce slope of seat. Does better that way. I need it for the same rotation requirement as stated. I bought the 12". I am 6' tall and 225 lb male. I read the reviews and measured my Mazda bucket seats which are fairly typical. I have RA and back issues and wanted to sit, swivel and presto! The seat swivel had to be held next to the bolster (high part on edge of seat) to slide my butt onto it. If I did this, then I could swivel. Kudos to the manufacturer. But sitting on this small swivel hurt. I only had room for one bun. I could not drive with the swivel in place due to the pain. So, it turned into a waste of time, effort, and a new added pain. I am "sorely" disappointed! Swivel seems well made. Just not for me or most people. ... show more

Bought this for my friend to use when she was a passenger after shoulder surgery in my Buick Encore (with bucket seats as in the picture). Didn't enable her to swivel painlessly in order to leave the vehicle as the device didn't sit well on the seat. Too bad as it seemed a good idea.
