This cushion elevated me so I could see and eased hip pain from sitting in and getting out of car bucket seats. I've tried a few other style seat cushions from other manufacturers and they were too firm. My commute to work is only a half hour and I am comfortable using cushion in car. I don't know if I could use it for a long road trip, maybe I'd have to switch cushions back and forth but it does seem a lot better using cushion to fill gap in bucket seat. Price was good too. I have a car with a broken electric driver's side seat frame which can't be repaired and I can't find a replacement. It's ok as long as the height is set to the lowest position and I disconnected the height adjustment. It sits a bit too low for me, so I ordered one of these as a "booster" seat. It's perfect. This is quite thin down by the edge of the seat, so you ar gaining actual height rather than having to adjust the seat down so your knees don't bang into the steering wheel. I hate the seats. They are hard as a rock. Bought one of these 3 years ago and it was 100% turn around for sitting comfortably in car. My wife has back trouble and passenger seat was uncomfortable for her. She tried mine and so I needed to order this one for her side. One note is that this pad makes you sit higher in car. Might be an issue for someone who sits taller in car. Move seat back until it is broke in. On trip now with economy airline. I got two car cushions, this is the first one I am trying, also the least expensive. It lifts me up high enough to see the front end of my car! I like the adjustable strap in the back to keep it in place, even though the bottom of it has a non-slide texture, which seems to work. I can't feel the seat heater through it but the cushion doesn't hold the cold. It might be too firm. I have yet to drive for any length of time using it.
