My children and I camped out in 30° weather this past weekend. I dreaded the idea of the confinement of a regular size sleeping bag. This one definitely gave me enough wiggle room. If you are overweight or tall or just don’t like to have a tight sleeping bag, this is an excellent solution. I wouldn’t actually recommend these for camping outside. I ordered 2 (teal & pink) because they were the only sleeping bags that would ship/arrive the same day. We moved into a new house, before most of our belongings arrived (and we hadn’t figured out the thermostat yet) and the small amount of bedding we brought wasn’t enough to keep warm at night. These were good enough & price right ($19) for our kids to temporarily use. I tried it out one night and the bag does retain warmth. However, it is a very very thin bag. The outside feels like a cheap rain jacket. I do worry about ripping. The thin layer of padding inside is not sewn in place so I did occasionally have to work it back flat. No problem (so far) with either of the zippers though. The kids rolled them out over their nugget playcouches and they slept great. They’re too thin to sleep directly on the floor. You’ll want some sort of mat. Overall, they worked just fine for our situation. So, for indoor camp outs by the tv or kid’s sleep overs, I recommend. Definitely recommend a sleeping pad underneath it when possible. But during warmer weather this sleeping bag breathes well and remains pretty cool. During colder weather you're going to need to add some kind of insulation, but it's still very comfortable. I would give this sleeping bag a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ rating if not for the zipper which I just discovered, but unfortunately for me is well beyond my return date to return it, is not zipping back up properly. I was just zipping it up to pack away for the winter, and the zipper is not zipping up correctly. I wish I could have returned this one for a new one, but too late. The sleeping bag comes in a bag that is easy to carry and even easier to stuff back into. I purchased this sleeping bag for summer tent camping. I just returned from a trip in upstate NY in early July where night time temperatures were in the 50's. This bag is super comfortable. Easy to zip and unzip, easy to move around in, and the dedicated zip for your feet is a wonderful feature. This bag kept me warm. Best of all, so easy to roll up and tuck back into the travel bag.
