The only way this thing would be better is if the wood was real of course, but it IS the best looking fake wood I've seen in a while, and I was able to afford it! Thankfully there is No obvious/cheesy laminate on the shelves that I can see, they're actually Solid while being surprisingly light weight, almost like a wood/plastic..? They seem super easy to clean, and yet actually have a nice amount of texture... The grain pattern is repeated on each shelf, which I would normally have a problem with, but it actually doesn't look bad because the pattern is a nice one. It was super easy for me to assemble alone in a matter of minutes, and fit perfectly in my corner. I absolutely love it. I finally have usable storage in the corner of my staircase! Every time I come into my home now, it's nice to look up at when I come up the stairs (the "wood" look is continuous on all sides.) I really like how it looks, but if I ever get the chance make a project of it, I would probably upgrade the shelves to real wood. It's the only way this thing could look even better.
