EDIT: the review below was for the deep purple eyeliner, which I love. I got the white for my lower waterline...omg...just NOOOO! NOT subtle. I just did a thin line and looked like I had taken chalk. SO....DEEP PURPLE for these old eyes, YES! The white MAY work for some, but it was the opposite of raccoon eyes for me. HORRID. ________________________________________________________ This has been a subtle, but makeup-changing, liner for me! As I have gotten older (am very fair, had black hair and now is salt and pepper, hazel eyes), still liked my black eyeliner, would just put on a thin line and then SMUDGE, so it didn't look harsh. Brown just didn't look right on me at all. Not with black eyelashes and my skin tone. THEN I read the deep purple reviews. Seemed like what I was looking for AND IT IS! I never went for purple because I didn't want my eyeliner to really STAND OUT, the dark purple is PERFECT. Looks better than the black did, very flattering, yet doesn't SCREAM. It's subtle, but gives me just the little pop I was looking for. Because I wanted a very SUBTLE highlight for under brow, I use Revlon Colorstay creme eye shadow in Creme Brulee. I put it on with a finger, and just rub a little under brows and inner corner of eyes for just a little brightener. I think this would be a great color on anyone, young or old, but, if you, like me, want something a little toned down from black, but brown just DOESN'T do it for you, you MAY wish to give this a try, especially at this price! BOTTOMLINE: Goes on smoothly, can smudge it right after I put it on, yet it stays on well (I only do upper eye and a bit on the corners of bottom). Came SEALED well. And at an unbelievable price. WILL be getting more, but likely will stay with just the deep purple because it's now my go to! ... show more

First, the Longevity is good. The color is a nice rich matte purple. It goes on smoothly as well. Unfortunately, over the past 2 years or so I’ve developed dry eye syndrome and I can no longer wear this (or almost any!) brand for liner (Even though I line outside of the lash line I try to make it as close to the lash line as possible, and I guess that’s too close to Meibomian glands) . The only two brands I’ve been able to wear without my eyes starting to feel like wind has hit them Is actually LA GIRL (sold on Amazon also, less expensive harder to apply because it’s not quite as creamy) or Ulta house brand. In case this info help someone, I get the tight, uncomfortable dry feeling (where I keep rubbing, pressing, or closing my eyes) – NOT the kind of eye irritation that the eyes will start getting watery and getting red/itchy. Until I developed this dry eye problem, I had no problem with this brand - It’s a great value and I’ve used several of the colors – they’re highly pigmented. No more sharpening! I keep the pencil in my purse pocket and I don’t have to carry a separate sharpener. This is my go-to eyeliner. It’s easy to apply without using pressure on the eyelid. But if you use pressure it usually breaks so just slide the liner softly over the eyelid. I love the dark purple color. It brightens my eye color. It stays on well and doesn’t give me allergies. Comes off with wet paper towel. Will buy again when needed. ... show more

I like the deep purple color but this eyeliner flakes off. I'm constantly finding specks of it under my eyes. It's a shame because the color is great. I just can't continue to use it.

This is a great iPad and soul. First of all the texture is very soft and it goes on easily. It doesn’t grab or pull your delicate skin around your eyes. Second, this dark purple is perfect if you have green eyes like I do as the purple really contrasts with the green, it makes the green of your iris stand out. NYX has always had really good texture to there I pencils and I see that they’re keeping up with their high-quality and really excellent prices. Absolutely fantastic.
