I'm an older Asian woman and stop using black eyeliners so as not to draw attention to the lines around my eyes. I love this color. It goes on smoothly, the only problem is that it does break easily and leave this small glob on my eyes. I can get them off easily, I just wish it wouldn't happen at all ... show more

I have been using NYX eyeliner for years with no issue. This eyeliner is difficult to apply, applying several times and flakes off. The specks of color come off and land under eye and in the eye itself causing eye irritation and eyes to water. The formula must have been changed. I bought the purple and it is a beautiful deep color. It does smudge when you use your finger to do so but usually stays in place if you don’t accidentally rub it as the day goes on. I bought it on the recommendation of a friend because I have allergic reactions to certain ingredients in eye makeup. Much to my surprise I had no reactions. The price is low but did not realize that there is not much product inside. I am use to having my eye pencils last for about 6 months. Not so with this. I ran out and then was without for at least another week until my next order came. Be prepared ahead. Buy two at a time if you like it. I looked at the other colors and saw another brighter purple, so I ordered it and when I applied it, it looked metallic. Very pretty but woke up the next morning with swollen eye lids and under the eye skin and my actual eyes reacted in a bad way. Whatever is in this that makes it metallic is what my eyes reacted to (a common problem for me). When looking at the colors on the page it is not apparent that it’s metallic. Because of the lack of sufficient product inside the pencil I am giving it 4 stars. If there was more inside I would give it 5. ... show more
