I love the texture and quality of this primer. My only complaint is that it did not come with an applicator, so you are expected to stick your fingers in. I am using an applicator for a cleansing balm, which works great, but I wish they had provided something.

    • Excellent Colors, Natural Matte Finish
Fairly Medium Matte and Fair Matte from bareMinerals are the best color matches for my skin that I have ever come across. The original bM foundations aren't a match for me at all, but the Matte colors are perfect. I have cool (pink) undertones with a lot of freckles and dark hair that give me a warm/neutral color palette overall. Most cool foundations are too pink for me and all warm foundations are far too yellow. No one seems to make a neutral color for fair complexions. These two foundations have been my go-to's for a decade now. I use Fair in the Winter, Fairly Medium in the Summer, and blend the two during transitional seasons as my color changes. The finish is a soft natural-looking matte. The only thing I dislike about this product is that is does settle into fine lines. I use a filling silicone based primer and no, it doesn't help with that. I have taken to using a tinted moisturizer all over my face and then applying this powder foundation on top, but avoiding the areas where I have fine lines. I use a setting spray to finish. This works for me overall, though I do keep meaning to try their liquid foundations to see if they have carried over this great color match to another line that is more targeted to the age I am now. ... show more

I went on the hunt for a cheaper primer I wanted a primer that gave me moisture and kept my foundation, looking fresh in the winter. This primer does the trick and kept my skin hydrated for most of the day, and my foundation looked great. The only downfall is I feel like it makes the foundation come off easier if you are to touch your face or rub your face against your clothing.
