  • The finches love this seed!
I was using a 'regular' high quality bird seed mix but was attracting way too many House Sparrows. Switched to this seed and the house sparrows have disappeared and now I am just getting house finches and Carolina wrens. Sure I would love to get more birds...but I am happy that my feeder isn't being mobbed with House Sparrows. I've read that finches are extremely picky about their seed and it must be fresh - they love this stuff so I know it arrived in excellent condition. ... show more

  • The picture says it all!
The birds are loving it! Not only yellow finches as pictured. Chickadee & other small birds too. We live in Massachusetts.

  • Birds love it
What can I say about thistle seeds? The birds apparently love it. We go tough a bag every month (or more). The platform feeders are filled with birds every day.

  • Great customer service! Seed was too dried out
I’d hoped the seed from Amazon would be great since it is a bit cheaper than the bird store. But it wasn’t worth it. Birds ate some initially but never emptied any of my 3 feeders with this seed. If it’s not fresh enough the goldfinches, house finches and chickadees won’t eat it. The bag it comes in is a crinkly sounding bag vs a zipper sealed plastic bag. If I hadn’t been sick the first month I had it I would gave sent it back! Customer Service for this company reached out and offered to send new seed or a refund! Very happy they care for their buyers! Great job!! ... show more

  • Good Finch Food, also a favorite of squirrels and chipmunks.
Attractive to a wide variety of birds but especially the finch family; Gold & Redhead Finches are favorites of mine. The fact that the beautiful birds come back to it and eat it proves to me you don’t need to do anything else to feed them.
