Yes, this product is cheap but the performance is the same. It works great when the weather is hot. It does not work very well when the weather is cold. I had to use about 10 to 15 squares to light my charcoal chimney when the temperature was in the 50s. The Masterbuilt fire starters work much better. ... show more

Exactly the same as NVKRVKS. These squares are just a bit smaller than 1/2 the “squares” of other similar products on Amazon. Because you can not compare the size of product on Amazon’s product photo you are lured into buying these as if they are comparable. This product is not worth the money by a factor of 3 or4 to others. Another Chinese product that is deceptive. I wasted my money to research fire starters, no sense in you repeating my error. Edit: After using these firestarters I have found that they use less paraffin per unit weight of fiber. This results in making them harder to light and to provide less flame and energy to ignite a fire. One way to look at it is this is a success story for the marketers and the company. They provide smaller “squares” with significantly less fuel in an attractive multicolor box and sell to a multitude of people who have no way of evaluating the performance.
