  • Kitty's favorite
Style: Sensitive Digestion Size: 5 Pound (Pack of 1)
07/05/22 - I was able to buy this in the past 2 months @ the original price it dropped back down to, but today I checked & it has gone back up, so I have found another kibble the kitty's like & if this one can level out (inflation excuses considered) I'll try again. 05/30/22 - update: I purchase this kibble on a consistent basis from Amazon as this small town I live in doesn't carry it anywhere & I don't drive - even if I did, the next town/ city is approx. 60 + miles away. Yesterday I checked the price of the 5 lb bag of the "Sensitive Stomach" kibble on Amazon & it was $17.98 which is what I paid for it originally, today the lowest price is: $31.76. On April 5, 2022 the price of 5 lbs had increased (not this much) but the 3lb bag remained the same as prior purchases, so I purchased two 3 lb bags - which sounds crazy but @ 11.98, I decided more cost effective. My cats like this kibble, the only Nutro kibble they will eat & I like the ingredients lacking all the fillers & additives of the less expensive brands-& had been reasonably priced. My 3 cats are all strays & have been with me for 3 + years, I am on a fixed income but try to feed them better than the cheapest because it keeps them from ailments with astronomical vet bills. What goes in makes a huge difference however - at this point I'm going to have to research an alternate similar brand because this price gouging is out of control. This apparently is the state of affairs today as companies & people are willing to exploit the era of "inflation" status at the cost of the rest of us. I am very disappointed to notice this happening to everything I buy whether in store or Amazon. It's understandable there will be price increases but this is unacceptable so that's the reason for this edit. Yes, my cats still like this kibble but I just can't afford this brand at this price anymore. 03/24/22 - Remain with 5 stars because after offering my furry felines numerous high end , expensive exotic kibbles over the past year just to test their preferences & they have always preferred the Nutro Sensitive Stomach kibble, not the other versions. So I have finally resolved myself to stay with the proven product. The only complaint I have is that the largest bag made is only 5 lbs & when feeding multiple kitty's, it is an ongoing purchase of several 5 lbs bags thru Amazon because I live in a small, limited purchasing town that doesn't offer this specific Nutro item, neither the feed stores or the only other store that exists - WalMart. Limited options, non - driver & closest next location ,80+ miles away - creates my dependence on enriching Mr. Bezos which is so darn convenient for the likes of my situation. That aside, my furry friends love this kibble, they also get canned food which I'm not so sure I trust anymore because really, who does the real quality control test on this stuff? A starving cat pulled off the street who will likely eat anything in desperation? When finding out the same company that produces the major canned cat food also owns the major baby food company & wouldn't pull their baby food off the market when high metal levels were detected & the FDA didn't find this to be a priority, how can we feel comfort in the cat food & overall pet food industry & the products they put on the store shelves? I do feel confident in this Nutro kibble because the ingredients remain clean & healthy & my kitty's are in great health this far. I recommend, always ships well packaged & in a timely manner. I have 5 cats- (1) 19 yr old male & a stray, a feral & her (2) 1.5 yr old babies, all spayed/neutered All but my 19 yr old prefer to eat kibble vs canned, but they eat both & they love this kibble. Periodically I substitute w/ another high quality kibble if I can't replenish this Sensitive Stomach version because I can only order it from Amazon as no local stores carry this specific type. I tried the other Nutro cat kibbles but they favor this one over any other ones. The only problem I have is that the largest bag available is 5 lbs & with 4 of 5 cats munching away- these 5lb bags are gone in no time, I should basically place another order as soon as I receive one. That's the only "complaint" I have - I wish they made a larger bag - otherwise, kitty's approve & so do I. ... show more

  • My cat *loves* this!
Style: Indoor Adult Size: 5 Pound (Pack of 1)
My cat has had a bad run with hairballs over the years, and I had her on the Blue Buffalo hairball food, but the price has been steadily creeping up. I was afraid to switch her because it was working so well for her hairballs, but this has been just as great, and she doesn't leave a crumb. She has had zero hairballs since the switch, and the last time I tried to change her food to Wellness food, she was having several just within the first two weeks. I know food is hard to go on based on reviews because it comes down to preference, but this is great for my kitty. ... show more

  • Daisy Prefers This to All Other Brands
Style: Sensitive Digestion Size: 5 Pound (Pack of 1)
My spoiled rotten cat thinks this is the best thing in the world. I have tried other brands, most recently the organic brand from the health food store. She totally detested that, so the strays I feed outside are getting it. Now we have finally arrived at the crunchies she loves and I like well enough. Will reorder as necessary. ... show more

  • Good value for mid level product
Style: Indoor Adult Size: 5 Pound (Pack of 1)
Reasonable price compared to the more famous brands. Compare sales at CHEWEY which are sometimes a better price and bigger selection.

  • Kitty approved
Style: Indoor Adult Size: 14 Pound (Pack of 1)
We’ve fed this to our two cats for a few years now and it’s definitely their favorite. We switched for a little and ended up coming back to this one and I could immediately feel the difference in the softness of their fur. This is a great option for cat food! Amazon is definitely the best place to buy it, as well. ... show more

  • Change to shape/size in 2021
Style: Indoor Adult Size: 3 Pound (Pack of 1)
My cat has been eating this food pretty much his whole life - almost 5 yrs. He has never had any problems with it and (to circumvent assumptions about the rest of the review) he still isn't having problems with it. He loves it - like many cats, he *loves* his dry food. I finally got him switched to about half (also Nutro brand) wet food because wet food is better for their long term kidney health. I just wanted to let people know that as of recently, I'd say right around the turn of 2021, they have changed the size and shape of the kibble. It is subtle, but it has caused my cat to sometimes make a little gagging/choking sound as though he has gotten a piece of it stuck somewhere. Kind of like if a human is eating chips and gets a shard stuck in the back of their mouth. You can feel it, but you're not choking - that's what it sounds like for him. The shape of it has gone from thinner and more oval shaped to rounder and thicker. He may simply not be chewing the new shape enough. I also experienced a period of many months in the second half of last year where I couldn't get hold of his normal wet food without scouring every pet store site. The Nutro grain-free wet "cuts in gravy" became very scarce on Amazon if not impossible to find. I looked on the sites for Petco and PetSmart and even Chewy, and was able to find it once or twice but mostly they also didn't have any in stock. It always said "out of stock" and not "discontinued". Since it had been so difficult to get him to accept wet food in the first place, I didn't relish the idea of trying to switch him to something else. I finally reached out to Nutro on Twitter and they said they were sorry I was having trouble finding it, but it was not discontinued. They didn't offer a clear explanation of why it had been so difficult to find in stock. However it did soon become easy to find again and my cat hasn't ever turned up his nose at the boxes I have bought. While my cat hasn't had any issues, if your cat ever doesn't want to eat new shipments of the same food they are used to eating and have liked before, heed your cat's instincts. They know if there is something wrong with it that you can't detect. It may be as simple as it sitting in a hot temperature in a warehouse and spoiling due to that, but they don't just turn up their noses at what they liked before without a reason. ... show more

  • Decent brand of cat food
Style: Indoor Adult Size: 3 Pound (Pack of 1)
Is it the best brand? Possibly not. But I do believe it’s better than most supermarket brands with grain as a 1st ingredient. Plus my kitty enjoys it.
