  • Great price for amount in container
My ferrets did not like this but I know someone who has ferrets and some of hers did. The container is large and a great amount for the price. I'm not going to give a bad review because I couldn't get my babies to eat it. I can say it's strong and it smells like seasoning powder that we put on our food. Anyone who has ferrets know they are very picky with food so it's almost impossible to get them to try something new so in my case they wouldn't so I gave it to my friend for her babies that love it ... show more

  • After a year of using it I've had to add a star
* update 6/21 At first I only used this sparingly because I was worried about the garlic, but after using it for a year and rescuing another sick ferret I'm forced to admit this stuff is awesome and I use it ALL THE TIME now. My original skinny guy has kept his weight up as long as I've used it, and it's become invaluable with the newer one as he has major dental problems and doesn't eat enough as a result. Now I keep a bowl of nupro gravy/soup out all the time along with the dry food which I sprinkle with dry nupro. All the fuzzies love it and the difference it makes in their overall condition is really remarkable. If I run out and they have to go without for a couple weeks they start losing weight, shedding fur and their coats get coarser, they get more lethargic.... and their kibble is top notch! I mix zupreem and wysong, both pricey and reccomended by my exotic vet and the ferret rescue I adopt from- but it still doesn't help them like the nupro. My newest one was positively sickly at first, but after a few DAYS on the above diet started to perk up. The rescue wasn't sure he would make it at all, his malnutrition and overall body condition were just so poor.... but he was a new ferret within a couple weeks and he's just one of the guys now. This stuff really is amazing, not sure what it is about it by looking at the ingredients, but there's no arguing with results. I love this stuff so much I started buying their dog supplement, which has similarly mystifying ingredients but also works wonders. My mom rescued a dog with a poorly healed broken pelvis and almost no fur who wouldn't eat and couldn't walk- I told her about nupro for her and now she's been able to heal up and has a nice bushy terrier coat, eats like a pig and takes a nice long walk every day. My own dog had some kind of skin thing, possibly an allergy? She used to lick herself bald in a few places and got rashy on her belly- no more. So TLDR: buy every nupro product you are remotely interested in, it can literally save your animals' lives (although no one is sure how). --- I really wish the seller would answer one of the customer questions about garlic being in this stuff and garlic being very bad for ferrets' livers.... but with that being said, it does seem to have an overall positive effect and is well received by my fuzzbutts. My skinny guy put on some weight and they both have better looking poops and soft shiny fur. They love it- I make a soup with some of this stuff, whatever cooked meat I have in the fridge, beef or chicken broth and a couple drops of salmon oil as a treat in the morning and when I leave for work I take it up and give them their dry food for the rest of the day. If it was a bigger part of their diet I might be more concerned about the garlic content, as it is definitely noticable- but as a nice vitamin/probiotic bump and treat it does the trick. Since I can't for the life of me get my little dudes to eat a natural raw diet, this makes me feel like they're getting more of the "good stuff" than kibble can provide. But I wish they had a version without the garlic. ... show more

  • Ferrets Favorite
My ferrets love this stuff. I have eight ferrets and it has always been a job trying you find a treat or supplement that they all enjoy. This stuff is awesome. all my ferrets love it and for the price is well worth purchasing. Can be used to replace ferret vitamin. My ferrets coats have never been softer. They are all full figured unlike before where I had a few that looked a bit anorexic. And mixing once a day it lasts much longer than ferret vitamins. ... show more

  • Amazing! Would definitely recommend!
My baby ferrets were coughing and sneezing for about a month so I took them to their vet worried. The vet couldn't find anything but put them on antibiotics just to be safe. They finished their meds but still was coughing and sneezing. I saw this and decided to purchase it worried because my babies are very picky eaters they do not like any kind of treats! But when I made the broth version like it says and gave it to them they devoured it I was so shocked also the first day they had it I noticed all day not one cough or sneeze! I was so amazed! So every morning when I clean their habitat I give them their broth. Thank you so much!!! ... show more

  • Great product
Bought for my Sr ferret who hasn't been eating well and not very energetic, noticed big improvement after about a WK definitely more energetic and he loves this as a soup and as a topper on his dry kibble! My baby ferret also loves it as a treat on his food also. I will definitely purchase for as the 1 pound container last a long time. The smell after it's mixed is on the strong side but not enough to deter from purchasing it again! ... show more

  • ferrets love it
my ferrets actually will eat this stuff they really love it. I mix a couple scoops with warm water and mix it with a fork. They're really picky, the only other thing they will eat is their kibble and bandit ferret treats. I give this mix once a week at least, the jar lasts a really really long time

  • I love the benefits of this supplement for my fuzzies
I love the benefits of this supplement for my fuzzies! They are currently on a kibble blend of wysong epigen 90 digestive support and Zupreem grain free and get the Nupro each evening made like thin soup blended with raw meat and they love it! It's their favorite treat and super good for them. This "soupy" mixture is a necessity in any ferret household! It is the perfect meal replacement if your ferret is picky, ill or refusing food for any reason including stomach upset after surgical procedures and whatnot. I highly recommend Nupro to anyone with pets as Nupro has this mixture for ferrets, cats and dogs. My ferrets were eating marshalls Duk soup mix but once I found Nupro and realized it is grain free and has no sugars or anything in it that can harm a ferret like marshalls duk has. I instantly made the no brainer choice to switch and all 3 of them took to it wit absolutely no problems at all!!! They just plain love this stuff and would eat it all day long if I let them (which could be done) but I also like the benefits of having their high quality kibble and raw meat! Also, this stuff was a total lifesaver when it came to trying to get one of my three ferrets (Cinnamon) to actually eat and enjoy raw meat! I rolled whole raw chicken wings, turkey necks and beef chunks in the dry nupro powder to coat it and it got him loving raw meat! I can't say enough good things about this stuff! I love it, my ferrets love it, YOU'LL LOVE IT! ... show more

  • Seems to be working pretty well and the ferrets seem to like it a lot.
This supplement seems to be working very well, and is very easy to feed. I was a little hesitant at first because of the garlic. However, I believe that there is not enough garlic in the product to harm them, and the small amount does actually benefit them. I’m one of those people that read everything before I’ll feed it to my pets. ... show more
