I'm absolutely thrilled with my gorgeous black oval shape jute rug! The shade of black is stunning and truly unique. The rug is soft, has no odor, and feels both delicate and durable. I've just “placed an order” for another jute rug (round) for the hallway by the bathroom to create a cohesive look in that space. To prevent the rug from sliding on the slick wooden floor, I've temporarily secured it with large strips of tape until I can get non-slip rug gripper pads. It’s beautiful, unrolled nicely and the texture is gorgeous. However, there’s quite a bit of dirt on the inside of the rug, packaged with it, not on the outside. Additionally, I can see why this rug tore apart for others, the stitching appears VERY delicate. I’m planning to layer this with another rug on top so I’m not too worried about the direct wear it will take, but if this was the only rug in my entry I can’t imagine it would last very long at all. ... show more

I ordered this jute rug for a home office space and could not be happier! I did just receive it a few days ago- it arrived quickly and very well packaged. Other reviews commented on an odor- My rug truly had no odor, even right out of the packaging. It rolled out nicely, I do have some weight on one end to help it lay flat. First of all let me say the rug is very beautiful to the natural eye. It definitely matches and goes perfectly with my room. However it has many many flaws and isn't made extremely well. A whole on the edge, frayed edges, white thread. See the pics of the issues. I do love that is a softer weaving material. Not hard like other rugs of this nature. It is the perfect navy blue color, I ordered the small round size, it's perfect for my sitting area, no smell, no dye transfer, it lays flat no issues with it curling up, it's very good quality. The media could not be loaded. I just received my 4' round he rug, and I was a little bummed out. It's cute and a really good thickness, but there are some issues. First, it comes with stickers placed directly on the rug, I added a video of how obnoxious it is getting them off. There is also a very noticable smell, that at first I attributed to bring "natural" but I'm 90% sure it's some kind of pesticide. I'm uncomfortable walking barefoot in it, because I'm pretty sure it was heavily soaked in whatever was sprayed on it. Lastly, the texture (while not scratchy) is gritty, and visibly not clean at all. I found lots of twigs and what I'm really hoping is a clump of dirt. It all just paints a pretty grim picture of how these were manufactured. However, if you are not deterred by any of those things then I did add pictures; one I edited to look more like it does in person, one of the "dirt" clump, and one white color samples so you can better visualize how this would look in your home. If your super picky like I am then you'll find that helpful :) one thing I was kind of impressed by (other than the thickness) is how easily it laid down flat, just be mindful of doors near where you want to place it, it is too thick to open most doors over it. ... show more
