I can't recommend this product strongly enough. I've been using NuLids device the for a couple of years and it has made the biggest difference in my eyes as far as comfort (gritty feeling) and visual clarity (due to dryness). This gel is more soothing and easier to use than the spray. I have Sjogren's syndrome and used Restasis and Xiidra for almost 20 years without much benefit and the co-pay was $60 a month. Thanks to NuLids, I have been able to stop the prescription eye drops. Yes, I still use eye drops (Refresh PF) during the day, but I am no longer having blurred vision due to dryness. I come home from a day at work spent in front of a computer and I really look forward to taking off my makeup and using the NuLid device on my tired, dry eyes. After using Nulids, I use Siccaforte eye gel and I'm able to function in the evening. I used to have to rest my eyes with a heating pad before I could do anything in the evening. I had a hard time driving at night because of blurry vision which must have been due to dryness since I don't have that any more. With NuLids I can read, sew, go to the theater or stream video without feeling that gritty feeling I used to have. There is no down time and it is much cheaper than prescription medications with no side effects. I don't know why anyone would write a bad review for this product. It is so easy to use that not using it is akin to not showering or not brushing your teeth.     • Heating element is garbage

I wanted to like this so much-I did spend over $300 on it after all, and I need relief from my dry eyes so badly! Mechanically I can say it worked fine the first use, but immediately needed a charge. So I charged it. The second time I used it, and every time after, the heating element barely heated up, and I could feel that it was alternating between not heating and heating. Therefore, I can’t really say if it could’ve helped my eyes, because it never really worked right. I can say it doesn’t hurt, and is kind of pleasant, but messy using the included eye gel. The unit just seems SO cheap, so even though I thought it should be high-end for 300 bucks, it definitely is made from low-end materials. And stopped working right after one use. On the plus-side, I returned it within the 30 day window and Amazon very promptly refunded my money as soon as it was shipped out from UPS. But if it had broken on day 31, I’d have been out of $300, which would have sucked a lot. ... show more

This device is meant to clean away debris, including demodex mites, and alleviate dry eye and blepharitis. It is not supposed to heat up, so I’m not sure why another (negative) review mentions that as an issue. Personally, I’ve found that it’s the best product I’ve ever used for its intended purpose. It has completely cleaned the capped glands from my interior lower lid from posterior blepharitis (where I use it directly). I use it in the mornings to clean my lashes and massage my lids after using a heat mask. I’ve had a few hiccups with it working perfectly, but the customer service is stellar, and they’ve solved any issue immediately. I suffer from sjorgen’s and my eye doc uses this on me when I go to my appointments. It has always given me such great relief so I bought one for home. It’s like a massage for your eyeballs. I absolutely love this. It opens up my tear glands and I can see so much better. I can’t recommend this enough. It’s the most relief I’ve had in years! Drawback is it’s pricey and supplies are a little pricey, but if you have an HSA or FSA you might be able to swing it. ... show more

I have severe dry eye. It is extremely bad so when I got this product and tried it for the first time, it was amazing. It actually took the dry crusty particles that you cannot see and just made my eyes feel 100% better each morning when I woke up. The only downfall I have with this product is the battery does not stay charged. I’ve had my product for a little over two years and now it’s not even keeping charge that shouldn’t be for the price of this product. This product is extremely expensive and for the battery to die within a little over two years is poor design. Also, when I purchased my product, the cord that came with it melted. I called the company and they told me to go out and buy a specific cord. They should’ve sent me a cord. I would like to purchase another one, but I will not not for the price and if it’s only gonna last for two years, I can find another alternative. ... show more
