Being new to wearing these, I initially put them on wrong hands & thought they would not help but hurt even more. When I realized my error, I put them on correctly. What a difference! No more pain at night. These are made for just what is said in the description, to wear at night. The velcro holds just where I fasten it. The thumb area fits nicely. There is soft material inside so no scratchiness against my skin. There is good support on the inside to keep my wrists in place without too much pressure. And they are lightweight. I have a lot of wrist problems and am building up quite a stable of braces. This is great for sleeping and keeping me from hurting myself while I’m unconscious 🙄. It’s very lightweight, but still has the curved wrist support bar. I could wear it during the day, but the qualities that make it light also make it less durable. There is always a trade-off. I've been using these for months, and am overall fairly pleased. I wear them on both wrists while sleeping to alleviate nerve pain in my arms and hands. I find them to be effective and comfortable for that purpose. My mother wears them for a similar condition, and she likes hers as well. these fit comfortably and the structural inserts are rigid enough to give support without feeling uncomfortably bulky. The material is holding up well, and is lightweight and breathable. The brace I was using previously was a name brand and high quality, but the shape of the opening over the palm of the hand and the rigidness of the metal inserts made it uncomfortable. I don't have that issue with this brace at all - it feels quite good to wear. My only complaint is that the velcro straps have thin backing and are a little flimsy, so they're prone to detaching and then sticking to my clothes or blankets in the night. As they do this more and more often, they gather more and more lint which interferes with the velcro, which becomes even weaker and perpetuates problem even more. This hasn't caused the braces to come loose while wearing them, but it's annoying and wakes me up when I feel them catching on things. However, I don't totally fault the product for that issue because it's a universal velcro problem. Overall, I like these. I've machine washed them a few times too, with no problem. UPDATE: I just purchased my third pair of these and am obviously happy with them! I have been wearing the first pair at work and the second at home overnight. After a couple months, the work pair developed some small holes in the material on the palms, but this is understandable given my job in shipping and receiving. Could they be more durable? Yes, but I don’t think they’re intended to be worn as constantly (7 hours a day) and in the conditions I’m using them. Still worth every penny because they allow me to keep doing a job I probably couldn’t continue to do otherwise. The difference is surprising to me - constant pain before vs only occasional tingling now. The worn down pair still works, so I left them at my BF’s house to wear overnight when I’m there. Might look into some kind of adhesive fabric or pad to add to the palm area to cover or prevent wear, but even if I have to replace them from time to time, it’s still totally worth it for the relief and possibly avoiding surgery later on. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I’ve been using these braces for barely two weeks for carpal tunnel syndrome in both arms caused by a lot of repetitive work and lifting at my job. The pain has been bad enough to wake me up at night, but that hasn’t happened since I got these. I wear them overnight and wake up more or less pain-free. I also wear them at work. They’re relatively comfortable and thankfully breathable. I do appreciate the support and stability they give my wrists (especially when lifting heavy boxes), but they still allow enough movement to use my hands. The overall tingling and pain have diminished, which is very promising because I’ve been worried that I was doing permanent damage. I’m impressed enough with these that I’m ordering a second set so I can keep one at work and one at home. Pros: soft material for sleeping, no weird smell, comfortable but supportive Cons: velcro comes undone fairly easily, though it doesn't come all the way apart if you feed the straps through the slits. This is good value for the money if you think you'll only be using it for a few nights at a time. But if you think it will be months, I would get something sturdier. The velcro straps come undone multiple times a night for me. It doesn't come all the way apart because I fed them through the narrow slits, but it's still annoying. Also, I think this runs small. I have a really small hand and wrist and it fits okay. But if you truly have medium, size up. ... show more
