Fenugreek is good for a variety of symptoms such as menstrual cramps, menopausal hot flashes, and lowering sugar levels… I have been using fenugreek for 2 years now. This is my first time purchasing Fenugreek with the Now brand. I purchase a lot of other products from the Now company, and I love their products! They are high quality products with affordable prices! It takes about three weeks for fenugreek to get started in your system to show results. I don’t have monthly cycles anymore, so I don’t use it for that, it does not stop my hot flashes, but it does a great job lowering my blood sugar! It CURBS my appetite!! I believe it also calms me down too! I’m high strung! Simply take 2 capsules 1 to 3 times daily. I started out with the maximum amount, then after 6 months I lowered the dosage. I researched the benefits of adding fenugreek to your daily vitamins and this brand tops the others. Fenugreek works great for me. I take these daily with my probiotic. They are easy to swollen, have no taste and do not upset my stomach at all. They do increase my energy level and as a little added bonus, they plump the chest up. For me anyway. The capsules has a strong smell, not chemical but something. When you open it the herb is super strong though. However, i've been taking them for about a week and a half and I dont smell the syrup smell I usually do coming through my pores. Things like this can be a hit or miss but personally it's a hit! I only take 2 in the morning and I eat something with carbs before I take it and that's what has worked best for me and it's definitely helped my supply. I don't notice any negative side effects which is nice.

I struggle with low milk supply. When I first tried fenugreek, I saw a promising boost almost immediately (I exclusively pump, am trying to get back to breastfeeding), but was discouraged to find that my baby couldn’t tolerate it. Drinking my milk made her fussy, gassy, uncomfortable- it certainly wasn’t gonna encourage her to nurse. It was so bad I had to throw out milk for 2 days, until the fenugreek was out my system. Discouraging:( Well, I met with a lactation consultant 6 weeks ago and she told me if I took blessed thistle along with the fenugreek, it would cancel out any digestive issues my baby had. It sounds so weird and random, I literally asked her 2 or 3 times to clarify, “now wait, you’re saying…”, and she insisted, yes. I can testify- at least for me and my baby, this has been true. I now take fenugreek every day, always along with blessed thistle- at a 2:1 ratio. My supply is increasing and my daughter has zero side effects. ... show more
