  • Manufacturer: "Not recommended for use on eyeglasses."
Somehow, "Amazon's Choice" for "eyeglass scratch remover" contains warnings on the back of the bottles that say: (No. 2) "Not recommended for use on eyeglasses or coated plastics", and (No. 3) "Contains abrasives, not for use on eyeglasses, polycarbonate, or coated plastics." Well, I'm always one to leap before I look, so I already tried removing the scratches that are the very reason that I bought this kit. Three applications of each of the three products, and about an hour of buffing later, and my glasses look absolutely no different. Perhaps this would be more effective on other types of material? But if Amazon's going to recommend something as an "eyeglass scratch remover", at very least it ought to be sufficient to use on eyeglasses. ... show more

  • I can see why recommended for acrylic aquariums
This set, along with wet/dry sandpaper (600, 1500 and 2000 grits), buffer wheel attachment for variable speed drill and a couple of days' worth of elbow grease turned a giveaway acrylic aquarium in to what looks like new! Key step for #2 is letting it dry after buffing and polishing like a clay rub. I went back to 1500 and 2000 grit papers to re-apply #3 and clear more scratches before sweating out the rest with #2 and magic erasers. #1 cleaned and polished using included cloths. ... show more

  • I had made a huge mistake, then I did it 8 more times
True story! So my dad has a Polaris (I think) Razor. Its like a side by side. Its awesome. Also the plexiglas windshield cost $350! So my sister and I were trying to clean it. Bad idea, we were into for 7 different products. We used soaps, and sprays and even pledge wood polish at the end there. Why didnt we stop?! We had it so scratched up and foggy! You couldent see out of it at all. My dad was mad. My dad was really mad. So I sulked home, and desperately searched the net for help. I found Novus polish kit so I had it mailed to my dads house. He waited 3 days to try it. He was soooo mad. So today he tried it......and he was so happy he drove the razor over to my house to show me that it looks BETTER than before! I wish we had taken pictures. Thank God! Now my dad is happy. Now my dad is VERY happy! The bottles were bigger than I expected and he said he just used a little bit and he has a lot left over for future disasters! He even wants me to print a receipt so he can show it to other Razor owners! Thanks for making me the favorite child for a while Novus! ... show more

  • Saved having to get new eyeglasses
I am able to postpone getting eyeglass lenses thanks to this product. My prescription has barely changed, but my glasses were getting so scratched up I was seeing through a fog! I'm using only the product in the blue-labelled bottle. The other two are too abrasive for lenses. With the blue-labelled solution I am now seeing through nearly clear eyeglass lenses. I spray the lenses, polish in circles with either the supplied towels or similar products that do not scratch. I then wash the glasses with soap, dry and put them on. It isn't permanent, but that's fine with me. the bottle of solution will last for years if need be! ... show more

  • ADDED scratches to CD-Rs & DVD-Rs - made problems worse
I'd like a refund. This product made the problem worse. I either got a defective product or this product is a scam. I purchased based on the high star average - seems like complete BS to me. I've tried both the #3 heavy scratch remover and #2 fine scratch remover. I used only the supplied lint free cloths to They do the EXACT OPPOSITE of what they claim to do. The gritty particles in #3 "heavy scratch remover" CREATES heavy scratches in the CD's surface. #2 "Fine Scratch Remover" simply CREATES fine scratches in the CD's surface. CDs / DVDs were 100% cleaned before using the product. Any existing dust or particles were washed off with warm soapy water then air dried. Wasted money and now even LESS chance of salvaging the critical data saved on these disks. ... show more

I have used this product in the past to polish all kinds on heavy scratches out of plexiglass windscreen's on the inside of flight simulators that I work on but never thought about using it on my seriously hazed out 15 year old car headlamp lens until reading the previous excellent review posted with the step by step instructions and pictures. I followed the same 5 step process from the previous review and see for yourself the results, I saved a couple hundred dollars without having to purchase replacement lens. Thanks to Jon B for the helpful review. Also cheap to buy the assorted sandpaper set from amazon also which doesn't have the 3k grit paper but instead comes with 2500 grit which worked just as well I found. 3M(TM) Wetordry(TM) Sandpaper, 03006, 3-2/3 in x 9 in, Assorted 1. 2000 wet sand 2. 3000 wet sand (may substitute 2500 grit) 3. Novus 3 (spend more time if skipping 3000 sanding) 4. Novus 2 (spend some time because this step makes plastic really clear) 5. Novus 1 ... show more

  • Good as New
I bought this kit to refinish an acrylic fish tank that was purchased off of Craigslist. It is worthwhile to point out that any scratch that is deep enough to feel with your finger nail, you will want to wet sand with 1500 to 2000 grit sandpaper first. Anything less than that, this kit will have no problem taking to a like new condition sparkling shine. I also recommend using a buffing wheel set on the lowest rpm as to not melt the plastic you are wot king on. One last note, bottle number 1 is actually not a polish but is a anti-fog and dust repellent which works really well since dust has a tendency to static cling plastic surfaces. I highly recommend this kit. I have more than enough polish left over to redo my aquarium a few more times in the future. Its a 180 gallon tank by the way. ... show more
