  • well made
Color: Black
I suspect that a cane is either going to be a good one or junk. I give 5 stars on this one. I'm a good sized guy and this cane can prop me up with no sweat and no collapsing, breaking, not even a creak or groan. Yet, it isn't heavy or unwieldy and to be honest would make a dandy self-defense tool in a pinch. The grip on it, sort of a textured rubber is comfortable and easy to hold without slipping. Something that could be easily overlooked is the wrist strap which I actually use more for hanging the cane on a coathook or similar. The rubber tip seems to be holding up well and does not slide out from underneath the cane; I do suggest wiping it off periodically with just plain water on a paper towel or something to make sure you prevent any build-up of dust or dirt that might make it slip. I'm very happy with it. ... show more

  • Durable, Dependable, and WORTH THE PURCHASE!
Color: Black
I purchased this product because my doctor recommended I support my leg since I had been diagnosed with Bursitis. I am overweight, and I needed something to help support me when my leg gave way. This cane is so sturdy and strong. I have put my full weight on it several times when I needed to pull up when I could not stand. It was so stable. It actually holds up to 500 POUNDS (according to the manufacturer). Also, the gripper on the handle is comfortable and does not make your hand sweat. The cane is very lightweight and easy to carry. I would highly recommend this to everyone, especially those who need extra support physically and reassurance mentally. ... show more

  • Great for a big guy
Color: Black
I am a person of "larger build". I purchased this for recovery from knee replacement surgery. It is well built and above all, sturdy. Because it is easily adjustable, it can work for someone of any size/height, but it is heavy duty enough to handle my 6'3" 350 lb frame with no issues. It was invaluable in my rehab and I absolutely recommend it to anyone who needs a good, sturdy, heavy duty cane, that is still very lightweight and easy to take with you. ... show more

  • An Overall Good Heavy-Duty Cane
Color: Black
I have been generally happy with my cane purchase. Finding a cane for someone my size (let's just say I shop Big & Tall stores/catalogs and need both aspects) was not easy. I found tall canes and I found canes for heftier users, but it was a challenge to find a heavy-duty cane that was long enough for my height. At this point, I have been using this cane for almost five months and it has held up beautifully. My only complaint so far, and believe me, it is a minor one for me, is that handle/grip is not completely securely attached to the cane. It doesn't noticeably move around while I'm trying to use the cane, but I have noticed that over the course of time the grip migrates further and further until there is an indentation from the end of the grip in to the end of the cane where the lanyard attaches. It's easy enough to slide it back into position, where the slow migration can begin again. (I would say I have to adjust it less than once a week, probably less than once every two weeks, so it's not a serious annoyance or anything, just a minor irritant.) As for the cane itself, it has been absolutely satisfactory in construction and sturdiness. At this time, I think I will likely be happily using this cane for years to come. ... show more

  • I'm a giant, and it works
Color: Black
How does one review a cane? I suppose the most important quality is stability. Does it give you confidence? Can you depend on it? The short version is, yes you can. I'm a giant. NBA height with NFL weight. It's all muscle, for sure... Anyway, I'm probably on the upper end of the spectrum when it comes to what this cane was intended for. It's rated for up to 500lbs!!!! No, that's not me. But the fact is, at ~270 and 6'5", this thing is rock solid. You're probably not even close to those numbers, which is good. I got this because I wanted a tank that could withstand a beast, and it hasn't disappointed. I've previously used one of those omnidirectional canes and they're fine, for most people. Unfortunately, I don't fall into that general category. Maybe you don't, either. This can was made for us. Those that are larger than average, for whatever reason, and need reassuring stability. More or less, it's the only cane you should consider. Yeah ok fine, it doesn't stand up on its own. Overrated feature. I'd rather have something that can stand up to ME. ... show more

  • Did its job perfectly
Color: Black
I recently bought this because I injured my left foot and was unable to put all my weight on it, making walking and standing very difficult. My wife and I had travel plans we couldn’t cancel so I needed some sort of a solution so I could be mobile, so I found this cane here. It was able to support my weight easily, never felt wonky or cheap, I was able to trust it to support me when I used it to walk. Even though it was strong it was also lightweight, making it comfortable to use for long periods of time and easy to store. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • Excellent product
Color: Black
I got it a couple months ago. The NOVA HD cane works great. It is strong and sturdy (seemingly very heavy duty), but also very light weight and easier to maneuver than some other canes (especially heavier quad canes). The handle grip is very sticky in the sense that it is easy to hold on to. It's not trying to be pretty, but it is super functional and the black finish is nice. Worth the $20 I paid for it. ... show more

  • Strong, sturdy and lightweight
This cane is my favorite. I've got a heavy steel cane that will also support twice my weight, but it's too easy to fall over or slide off things when you prop it against a counter, or a table or car. That's why I purchased this lightweight aluminum model for use at home. My cat in particular is bad about rubbing up against canes and tipping them over. With the steel cane she could injure herself. That's no problem with this strong, lightweight model. I carry it to church and use it at home now, and take the steel orthopedic mace (as I think of the other one) to town when shopping as a combo cane/self defense weapon. ... show more
