The box arrived pretty beat up, however, there was plenty of foam protecting it and it had hard plastic corner pieces to protect the corner of the boards. Everything arrived unharmed! All pieces were clearly marked. Instructions were easy to follow. I probably built it in less than an hour by myself. It came with all the tools needed to put together. The media could not be loaded. Living in a small 1bd apartment in the city I’m always looking for functional ways to optimize space. I’ve been in need of a computer desk with lots of open shelves, but compact enough to fit in my bedroom. This did not disappoint! Assembly: Quick and straight forward. If I had to guess, it took me ~40mins to build. It comes with extra screws/parts and the assembly instruction images are easy to follow. Sturdiness: the crossbar in the back assists in stability. I’ve had similar desks in the past and within a few weeks those, inevitably, began to develop a noticeable tilt/unevenness. I have yet to experience that with this desk. Things to keep in mind: I had kept my old computer chair in hopes of it fitting/being small enough to squeeze into the small area of the desk. If I try really hard I can make it fit, but not without the arm rests scraping against the more medial metal beams. I’d recommend either 1. Measuring out the area prior to purchasing a computer chair, or getting one without an arm rest to ensure it fits. All in all, would definitely recommend. Compact. Lots of storage space. The desk is adequate but not spectacular. It was MUCH smaller than expected but that's my fault for not measuring more before buying. It does feel relatively sturdy, it doesn't wobble but I wouldn't stand on it. I like that it can have the shelves attached on either side and the adjustable feet to keep it level. There were numerous manufacturing errors on all parts of the desk which made assembly slightly more difficult and one of the corners had been damaged but it was only visible from underneath thankfully. Overall it was very straightforward to assemble but took quite a while because there are about a thousand screws and bolts you have to put in (this was a major factor in choosing to not return the desk). I chose not to attach the upper level because it put my monitor way too high for comfort especially considering how low the keyboard tray is but I am a relatively short person (5'3"). I have a keyboard with a number pad so it does not fit well on the tiny keyboard tray with a mouse but it works well enough to manage. It's not a high quality desk, but but for the price, it's satisfactory. I got this desk for a home office but I feel like it would be much better suited for a student's desk or someone who does not have much space for a desk. I love this desk! I bought it for my boyfriend so he could have a nice desk for his computer and monitor. Assembling it took some time but we got it done. Follow the instructions. When it says to do things a certain way, it's because it's easier. For example screwing the legs on by having it upside down. Also, when you are doing that, screw opposite corners, that way you won't need a helper to push the metal frame over the screw hole. We did find a flaw in the top surface of the desk. I am unsure if it was from the factory, transportation or if my boyfriend accidentally did something to it. He was a little bummed and said if he'd noticed he would have made the top on the other side. However, the flaw is not in the center of the desk and does not affect how it is uses. And it was slightly damaged on the one corner from shipment. It is extremely sturdy! The metal frame is phenomenal for giving it a sense of stability. It is very fashionable and useful! My only complaints about putting this desk together is the one flaw, whether from us or the factory. The flaw on the back corner. It had corner caps on it but it broke and the corner is slightly damaged. There was quite a bit of dust from the factory still on the materials, so if you are bothered by such things, I would wipe it down before you assemble it, unlike us. Finally, I had bought a different desk and we were assembling them at the same time. I'm not sure which one had the crumbly styrofoam that was all broken up. Nevertheless, I am still finding bits of styrofoam around no matter how many times I vacuum. And my cat's occasionally have a piece or two in their fur. So, a minor annoyance, but it is making me vacuum more often. Styrofoam seems to be a curse like glitter. Will upload pictures at a later date. TLDR: Beautiful and sturdy desk. Flawed corner from shipment. Great design, will buy one for myself when we have our own place. June 2022 Update Desk slider for the keyboard was having issues and my boyfriend pulled it off the tracks and now has the keyboard on the actual desk. Idk if it's something that could be fixed, was a design flaw, or if it was damaged to cause the issue. Other than that, still functional. ... show more

The desk is of good quality. I am impressed, no missing screws, the wood is good, and the holes were in the right place. I love this desk. Very sturdy. It took about 20 minutes to put together by myself very easy. Fast shipping. It is as described.
