I started using this over a year ago and it quickly became the only soap I'll ever use in the shower again. The grit in the bar took a little getting used to, it was never painful but if you're used to a smooth soap bar like Dove, it felt a little shocking to rub this somewhat rough bar against the more sensitive parts of your body. Try it and stick with it and you'll realize it cleans you better. It also smells very nice and lasts a long time. Don't store it in a soap dish that doesn't let all the water drain away from the bottom, or that side will get mushy and you won't feel the grit exfoliating your skin. I use a 3M shower soap dish with a wire tray and every day I pick my bar up, it's fresh and dry. ... show more

The headline really says it all. I only got into this soap by accident upon looking into alternatives to the common, store-bought brands. This soap lasts me a long time and the scent does not burn my airways like I'm walking into a bath/candle store. Appreciate that there is enough grit for the times I might need it. Usually keep one in the shower, one in my work travel bag, and I leave one behind at the folks' place during holidays where extended family all have to share one bathroom and seem to like having this stuff around. ... show more

I wouldn’t recommend for shower use - a bit painful. Great for soiled hands, but I’ll never use it again as a body soap. The soap that Dollar Shave club had with the pumice in it is awesome but this one feels like dragging a bar of jagged rocks across the skin.
