    • Barely lasted 6 weeks. Junk!

Buyer beware. I bought this gameboy as a Christmas present for my 10 year old son. By mid February, it stopped working. We're not talking about a situation where he was on it all day long and wore it out, not that such a thing should even be possible in barely 6 weeks. This gameboy didn't even outlast the first set of batteries!! Total junk! I bought it in late October. Other than taking it out and doing a visual inspection when it arrived, it sat in its box, unused until Christmas. By the time it failed in mid February, it was way too late to return it. It's very disappointing. I kind of had a feeling this might happen, but I took a chance because my son had been wanting one for a long time. I hope you have better luck than we did if you choose to roll the dice on one of these. ... show more

When nintendo classic was launched, I was 8 and this was the biggest thing EVER (for an 8 year old). Needless to say it was extremely expensive (lived outside USA) and my parents couldn't afford it. I have been wanting this system for the past 30+ years. I went to Tokyo last year and spent 2 days looking for a classic gameboy in all the right places and couldn't find it anywhere. When I found it here, I figured i'm probably gonna get a broken system with this order that i will have to fix somehow, or it will be disappointing in some other way but wanted to try anyways...I am happy to say I was wrong. Got the gray classic game boy and there isnt even a scratch on it. Also ordered tetris in case it does work, and that also works like a charm. I can relive the childhood. 5 stars for sure! ... show more

It’s a basic Nintendo Game Boy, so there’s not a lot to review. It works & is in excellent condition. The only problem is the original sticker on the back battery panel is losing it’s laminated covering, so with extended gameplay, it will most likely come off. Hardly a deal breaker, but it might upset collector perfectionists. ... show more

Definitely not original housing, the D in Nintendo is smudged and the rest of the letters are blurry. Its missing the stickers on the back. Mine definitely had the original motherboard in it as I can see the Nintendo watermark on it from the battery compartment. The screen is either is excellent shape or has been replaced as its like new. Speakers work excellently so I expect they have been replaced as well Overall works well, definitely a good refurbishment on the inside but I just wish they kept the original housing. ... show more

Disappointed, it looked in great shape, I gave it as a gift for Christmas. When batteries were put in it, it didn’t work. The nostalgia of it was missed when it didn’t work.
