I like a small glow in the room when I sleep and I need to get up for water or anything I would be able to see with out turning on a light. But his one was just way to bright when the motion detected that it was fully dark. I wish it would go slightly dimmer when it is fully dark. Plug them in, and they come on when it's dark and go off when another light comes on. Just one provides plenty of light to see your way around a bathroom at night. They are new, so I can't comment on how long they last. I don't understand the reviews about a switch; mine look just like the attached image and don't have a switch. For such a small light, it illuminates well, but it’s also a warm light so it doesn’t shine too bright. It has one button in the front to turn light on and off.

These are not bright night lights. They emit just enuf light for you to see within a foot or two of the light. They were also more yellow in color than i was expecting.
