We bought this to put next to our cats’ favorite window so the would have something to sit on to watch the birds. Several screw holes were not drilled all the way through. But we have a drill, so this was not a deal-breaker. Once assembled, the bookshelf was stable. The cats like it, and I can put my library books on the lower shelves. We just ordered another one for a nearby window so the cats won’t tussle over the first one. I knew it would be small, and needed something to fit in a small space so it works well. It is decent wood material - had an odd smell but it faded. One spot didnt have the pre-drilled holes like the other pieces so it was tough to keep that lined up when assembling but in the end it looks good.

I got this item a few days ago and just today I started building it. It took me awhile to figure everything out but honestly it was was to set up. I used a power tool that my dad had and it was pretty easy I didn’t even use the instructions to build it. It’s kinda easy honestly. The only thing I realized it’s not as sturdy but it’s not going to fall apart either. This only took me 30 minutes to assemble and everything was smooth. I will say the wood was not straight so I was worried but everything seemed fine. It fits perfectly in my closet where I can put my books and Star Wars collection. This was not so bad honestly. Also the wood does smell weird but I cleaned it with a wet wipe wood polish so it was fine. Hopefully this helps :3 also enjoy the cute photos sorry my closet it messy. ... show more

This bookcase is a project. The wood is not perfect, it's not very sturdy, some of the holes for the screws are too big and the directions are a series of pictures. On the other hand, I liked the style and the size fit the small awkward place I was trying to fill. If you have plenty of time to condition the wood, fill the gaps and the too large screw holes and have the hardware to reinforce the structure, it may be a purchase you will be happy with. If not, you may want to pass. This is not fine furniture and the price reflects that. ... show more

    • Can't even put together.

When I got it, has spots all over it like it was scuffed and them a similar colored marker was used to color in the patches. The screws given are not long enough to screw in and leaves it super wobbly.
